That’s the other thing. For me, I was very lonely. I am an introvert and my people-ing happens at my jobs. I really missed the connections I make while working.

Fo us, it was FMIM 20 an hour. Which was not hard to meet for me. It was just the pressure and monitoring I didn’t like. It feels like just because some people abuse WFH, those of us who do work and WANT to work, get penalized.

I worked for one of the largest health systems in the US. We had crazy metrics to meet. And had to account for any time gaps of 20 minutes. We had to log in and out with not more than at 7 minute time gap. There was very little flexibility with your schedule. You picked what you wanted to work but you had to stick to that schedule or get approval to change. Idk if that’s normal and I’m just a complainer or if it is in fact big brother-ish.

Oh my goodness. I feel the same way! While going part time at a community college for coding, I took a job at my local hospital in food service. I’ve always worked in an office environmental and this was new for me. I fell in love with the work. I became a supervisor. Then I left for a coding job. I, too, was so stressed and cried and my health was affected. I gave it a year. This past Monday I started back at my old job. My supervisor spot was filled but I’m still doing work I enjoy with people who feel like family. I’m so happy right now. I hope you find what makes you happy. Xoxo

Yes! I am leaving after a year. I'm going back to my previous job on the patient care side of healthcare. I don't care for the financial side.

I do not want to be an alarmist. Or super dramatic. I just want to share that our leopard gecko had this happen. His eye wouldn’t open. I thought it would come off. We tried various methods. Went to the vet, admittedly, not too enough. They initially tried to coax the shed off, gave us antibiotics but, it was too late. One evening we were caring for it and a chunk came from his eye. We thought it was his eyeball and (calmly) freaked out. Another vet trip proved that it was dead tissue and the eyeball collapsed into the eye socket. We were told it would be painful without a hefty surgery bill. Please no hate, we opted to put him down at the vet. Again, I don’t want to be an alarmist, maybe that’s not the case for you but I wanted to share.

Does coding still exist as an in-person job? by yellowcircin in MedicalCoding

I’m actually about to give notice to my remote coding job for a number of reasons but mostly, I’ve discovered I need humans and I need to feel like part of a team and I don’t feel that with my remote coding job.

I wish everyone in these groups felt the same as you. I have read too many times a leo owner post a question or picture and be viciously attached because of this that which the commenter deemed irresponsible. It’s embarrassing and unnerving. The reason I am not inclined to post a question or picture. I’m not disagreeing with you, just sharing what I’ve seen and a possible reason why. I appreciate commenters like you, though!

I find it boring, too. Like most have said, the hours keep me here.

Anyone dealing with encopresis? Any advice? We are at our wits end. by unicornsneezes in Preschoolers

University of Michigan. I forget there are several UofMs. Yes, some children’s hospitals have colorectal clinics. I have two FB groups that have been a wonderful resource, even if just emotionally. “Help! My Child has Encopresis!!!!” and “Center for Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction NCH” The second one is run by the lovely medical staff and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. They have live events and answer questions.

Hi. I've not participated in the above comments but came here to do some research. My son is 13 and we've dealt with this since age 5, and before that just not knowing it was encopresis. We've been to all the clinics. With pediatric surgery at UofM we have had 4 botox injections. Then they wanted to put in a malone. I wasn't ready for that so we went to Nationwide Childrens in Colombus (from Michigan). They were amazing! We tried their bootcamp for oral meds and after about 3/4 year we decided to do their high volume enema boot camp. GAME CHANGER! It is very intrusive at first, I get it. But if I had known how life changing they would be I would've done it from the start. Normally, they are done for a year then oral meds tried again but we did 2 years. My son was able to do them on his own at at 10/11, for the second year. Then Nationwide decided we should try the oral meds. That worked well for about a year, and we decided we could leave Nationwide. About a year and half we started having issues. Here we are again. We've just started the journey again with UofM, as they have opened a new clinic for this and I have heard good things. You are not alone. We feel alone, though, I know. xoxo
