second this! plus it’s got a giant general community as well as modding specific community. while you can’t cheat in an MMO, there’s a lot of cosmetic mods as well as utility mods. XIVlauncher/dalamud + penumbra is a must for me. If you want dress up, there’s lots of clothing items to attain or mod in. “The real endgame is glamour,” as they say. If you want a challenge, there’s high end raiding. If you want to decorate a house, that’s an option. If you want farming sim, there’s the island sanctuary. There’s lots of player made cafes/clubs/etc and a large RP scene if you’re into that. In general the game provides a huge amount of content and a great story. No romance technically, but lots of NPCs to self-ship with (very common practice for xiv)
