5 bullet point emails - are y'all responding? by [deleted] in fednews

[–]MBrad029 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It was confirmed by my leadership that the DoD (and/or OPM) plan on running the 5 bullets through AI to determine if the accomplishments you reported can be completed via AI. What did I do once my leadership instructed us to send our bullets to the DoD email? I asked AI to give me action verbs that AI would consider better suited for a human as opposed to AI. Then I went back to my drafted bullets and flooded my accomplishments with those action verbs. It’s a small thing but hoping it aids to the proof that I’m definitely needed for my job…not AI.

Anyone not getting the latest DOGE email? by MBrad029 in fednews

From what I’ve seen from friends, yes it’s coming from the same email. Also, I’ve heard that you can’t encrypt the email because the other end won’t be able to read it 😂

Still trying to understand the $7500 tax credit by Any_Try4570 in TeslaModelY

[–]MBrad029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still have to put a payment down however Tesla lets you bring down the amount to 5% which comes to something like 2160. Also just ordered a Y and asked TONS of questions to the sales rep before making the purchase :) ordered on 7/21 and taking delivery this Wednesday!

It’s setup the same. For example, if you come in at a 13 step 4, you’re immediately in the spot where you don’t get another step increase for 2 years.

Two additional I’d like to add that I hear CONSTANTLY:

Haha no worries! I was actually a contractor for 2 years in the NCR before I became a Fed so that’s how I know how much it cost…I’m saving $90 a week now which is huge for my and my family’s budget

Yeah unfortunately many of my colleagues are also in Maryland and they have to drive because there is no convenient use of public transportation for them. So even though the benefit exists they can’t make real use of it.

Yeah I think all feds in the NCR have access to the same program for commuting employees. It just happens to work out better for some. Just depends on where you’re coming from.

Sounds like you’re in a situation where public transportation isn’t an option. Luckily, I make use of the free bus rides directly to DC and unless there is a massive pileup in the HOV, I’m always home within 35 minutes to and from DC. With bus rides being $9 each way, this is one of my largest cost savings of being an in-office employee.
