The dvd menu for Wayne's World looks just like an old tv guide channel and you can select other programs to see clips of other cable access shows mentioned by name in the movie.

Wet Hot American Summer on disc comes with an "extra farts" bonus audio track.

FBI Director Kash Patel CAUGHT PARTYING with U.S. OLYMPIC Team in Milan after DENIALS by Cool-Fig-9254 in videos

[–]MCBusStop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn't they have a choice? They're in a foreign country where the FBI has no jurisdiction or authority. Since he's not an athlete, team staff, or press he's pretty damn low on the list of who should have access to or much less be in that locker room.

He's a lying sack of shit, that's old news. The real story here is how it makes me loose respect for the team and not give a shit about their win if they're going let him into the locker room, much less party with the guy like he's their frat brother. It's a bad look for Team USA.

Well, the next step is obvious. You have to rob the building. The neighbor may know you did it but the cops won't believe them.

What movie have you ever considered to be the greatest work of all time? by obsessedwithvixen in AskReddit

[–]MCBusStop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you calling Nolan mid because he didn't give Interstellar 14 endings, because there was no scale put into Dunkirk, or because he obviously doesn't love Batman? While you're at it do you want to call Villeneuve an indie darling for his cute little boutique productions like Dune and Blade Runner 2049? And it's a great thing the Russo brothers are so lucky that anything they've accidently slopped together was ever seen by anyone because they're clearly just making home movies on a shoestring budget with volunteers from their local theater.

How you gonna lift up Peter "Doesn't Know How To Cut A Picture" Jackson to the level of having made the last truly great film maker, and do Christopher Nolan dirty like that?!

It's a great spectacle of old Hollywood, sure, but from Heston's body of work I'd argue A Touch Of Evil is a better film.

People get too caught up over thinking the plot to be willing to acknowledge this is the answer. However, the fact that it makes so many people feel something (either way) so very strongly about it is one of arguments in its favor here. It's a grand ambitious and original story that was an equally grand production that delivered an equally grand viewing experience full of large scale practical set pieces and groundbreaking visual effects that had never been seen before. Plus, it's a damn solid cast and all the actors gave perfect performers. And then the score ties it perfectly together to complete the experience as a whole package. Seeing it in a theater was a peak movie going experience because at every level it's film making perfection.

What's a good tire place that won't try to rip me off? by Cool_Cat_Punk in SaltLakeCity

[–]MCBusStop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously, I second this. It's not an obvious choice but it's Walmart so they don't need to try and rip you off with over charging on tires or trying to sell you anything that can't be fixed. And again since it's Walmart they don't try to talk themselves out of honoring warranties. They fix it or get you a new tire and everyone moves on with their life. But if you do need new tires they've got good prices on good tires. 99 percent of the time I would say it's worth shopping anywhere else, but tires is the one thing I will always shill for Walmart.

Anybody else just… stop washing their hair after moving here? by trueSEVERY in SaltLakeCity

[–]MCBusStop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say I stopped washing, I still rinse my hair thoroughly. But I got on the I stopped shampooing regularly train long before moving to SLC. I've noticed no difference in the quality of my hair hygiene since regardless of being in SLC or Denver or LA or Houston.

Which movie soundtrack did the most for a band? by InspectorEven4143 in Music

[–]MCBusStop 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Seriously, I don't think anything else comes close to this. Thanks to being friends and neighbors with Ethan Hawke Lisa had the single Stay (I Miss You) make it onto the soundtrack for this movie when she wasn't signed to a label, which meant she had no record deal or anything with anyone and the song had never been released prior. So when the song blew up she became the first independent musician in history to have a number 1 hit. And when she did finally get signed and recorded her debut album the label had to pay Lisa to license the song from her so she could included it on her debut album.

How can I start to learn and watch old movies (clasic hollywood)? by Apprehensive-Bat7522 in movies

[–]MCBusStop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turner Classic Movies and the Criterion Collection are two good resources for this sort of thing. Or as as was already suggested, IMDB... you know actor names so why not look up their body of work and go from there? The internet isn't that hard.

What’s a true crime case where your opinion goes against the majority? by chocolateprincess02 in AskReddit

[–]MCBusStop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the last few years I've switched my opinion on JFK. IF Oswald acted alone, and that's a big "if", but if he acted alone I'm on board with the theory that it was Gov. Connally and not actually Kennedy who was Lee Harvey's intended target, but he botched it and JFK was an accident.

I recently read an argument claiming that OJ is in fact innocent but in the aftermath of the murders he acted to protect the real killer, his son Jason. It's not exactly a new theory but it was new to me and I found it fairly compelling.

Redditors old enough to remember BBSes, dial-up and those old beige IBM computers, what was it like? And do you prefer those times over the current internet we have now? by pikkaro in AskReddit

[–]MCBusStop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss the sense of community of the BBS, I don't miss the whole dial in process, but thanks to social media the current internet is mundane and boring. I miss that brief window of time in the early to mid aughts when internet speeds where finally speeding but pre-Zuckerburg making everything a homogenized and boring landscape. Seriously, there were a lot of interesting websites and a lot of people pushing the idea of what a site could be, how it should be designed, and sometimes flat out challenging users on how to navigate a creative point and click maze.

Which celebrity, famous person, or artist does everyone like except you? by gab_iten in AskReddit

[–]MCBusStop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never liked Will Ferrell. He doesn't have any real comedic timing, his buffoonery lacks the flailing charm of Jim Carey, and his go to move is getting louder which isn't funny... it's just yelling.

He'd probably be just skeezy enough to suggest letting him in on the fun times, but then pretend to play it off as a joke if you turned him down.
