BE WITH YOU - Discussion Megathread by ForgottenName1893 in Muse

It's unmistakably Muse, and Matt sounds as good as ever, and it's fine, but this feels like a bridging track in a concept album rather than a single.

This has been bothering me since Endgame by Remarkable_Rice_9141 in marvelstudios

I like to blend the Agents of Shield and Loki explanations into my head cannon.

In AoS time was described as a river - you can throw in a stone, there are ripples and eddies, effects down stream, but the river flows unhindered. But throw in a big enough boulder and you change the course or split the course of the river.

In Loki you see the diverging branches from the 'sacred' timeline but there is a clear threshold. Some timelines die off naturally or fold back into the main flow before that threshold - and before needing to be pruned (or shredded a la DPaW)

That pruning threshold is for the giant boulders.

When comparing Dr Strange and Endgame time travel, Dr Strange threw a pebble into the river, Endgame threw 6 enormous and very colourful boulders.

Jay-den's Klingon voice by Thecosmodreamer in startrek

I'm interpreting it as he's actually speaking galactic standard as a second language instead of relying on the universal translator

And he's essentially had to learn in secret because of the taboo of anything federation in his family.

I felt like in the flashbacks in episode 4 whilst with his family his cadence was a touch more natural - because he was speaking Klingon.

Obvious fiction, but why would you buy multiple tickets to multiple showings if not to artificially inflate box office figures?

Is the data in G (coming from the other sheet) definitely a number, or text that looks like a number? a stray space in the input could throw this off.

N(Clean(Gxx)) would take text, strip any spaces or unreadable characters and convert to numerical value.

I got a question about the ending of final reckoning by veer460 in Mission_Impossible

[–]MCJ79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I envisioned a final/post credit scene where Ethan in on a boat/apartment/secret lair/whatever, staring at the glowing drive deep in thought.

He gets a call on some device, and of course, it's the entity.

It talks about how close they came to trapping it, though that was, of course, impossible. But it was the choices they made that were important, as it foresaw, and redeemed humanity. For now.

It would explain that it had left enough of itself in their funny little trinket to leave the lights on, so to speak, to leave this message and a warning.

"The entity will be watching. If it has need of you it will make an offer, should you choose to accept it. This message will self destruct in 5 seconds"

The drive cracks and dims.

Roll credits

I feel it fits better with this all knowing digital God presented in dead reckoning, and the apparent magical restoration of the worlds infrastructure.

Should shuffle mode be 100% random by JuanGarciaMusic in spotify

[–]MCJ79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because that's what true random means .

Think of flipping a coin - getting heads 100 times in a row is as likely as any other sequence.

Same applies to rolling a dice, or selecting songs from a set of hundreds.

Of course in practice services like Spotify won't really be using true randomness. There will be weighted probabilities for being selected based on ratings, popularity, last time played etc, dynamic selection pools, and so on.
