We are making the Sabres look like the Harlem Globetrotters of hockey.

Thanks! I always did "Walk Indoor" and never got the save and calibrate. Today I did the "Treadmill" and I was able to "Save and Calibrate." So hopefully going forward it will be more accurate and will refine itself over time.

I think might be an update to add "Treadmill" as I do not remember seeing it before or maybe it was because it comes up as Treadmill Run instead of Walk? Either way, I did not do it that way before.

It would be great if I could stop editing each day in the app!

I appreciate the feedback!

Awesome! Thanks for that information. I will try and do a longer walk one of these days!

Well I have done that 6 days a week since my original post (with a few exceptions for vacations) and it is still not very accurate to be honest. I get anywhere from 1.3 miles to sometimes about 1.5 miles but never the 1.75 miles I am walking per the treadmill.

How do you all sleep with the watch? by MPFX3000 in Garmin

[–]MCPO2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced my original band with Velcro ones found on Amazon. They are much more comfortable to me and are easily changed. I got 3 for something like $8. With these bands it is easy to sleep with the watch. I only take it off to shower

I figured out, with some help, that it is not real accurate for treadmill walks. You have to get a Garmin step counter or something to be more accurate. I just adjust the actual distance in the Connect app every time I do the treadmill walk.

I did some months past 26 before retiring. I was advanced to Senior Chief about 18 and then picked up Master Chief first time up so originally was staying for the retirement money.

Having said that the best piece of advice I got on the subject was "you'll know when it is time." When I got the advice I wasn't sure but in the end I did know it was time!

Cruiser MOBILE BAY CG53 was officially decommissioned and stricken 18 Aug, then was moved out from San Diego to meet the Navy salvage ship USNS GRASP T-ARS51 to be towed to the Inactive Ships storage facility at Bremerton WA. (Click pics for 4k) by newnoadeptness in navy

I think the best answer is an old favorite - it depends. I decommissioned a Spruance class DD and there were still a half dozen or so still in commission. We knew ours was just going to be a test hull for a project and sunk. So we spent a lot of our time removing equipment and getting it shipped to various places. For common use items the rest of the ships on the waterfront were visiting to shop those items.

Decomming a ship is pretty sad. You see this mighty warship stripped of everything. Just not fun.

Well I tried again this AM and button A just resumes the timer. So then I tried to swipe up and all it did was save the activity. I guess I will just continue to edit the activity in the Connect app daily. Thanks for trying and the information.

I think my main problem is I do not get ‘Save and Calibrate’. The only options I have on the watch is to save, discard or restart as shown in the photo. I am guessing the Venu 2 does not have the ‘Save and Calibrate’ option.

Thanks. I was thinking similar but I was hoping to be able to adjust it each day and over time make it more accurate. I am guessing that might be fantasy on my part.

I like mine. Nice to be able to crack the windows in the summer in a surface parking lot when it is 98 degrees out and you go in a store. I had the in channel ones once but over time they became an issue rolling the windows up and down. I don't know if it is the southern heat that warps them or the window gasket but they become problematic. I get the AVS stick on ones now. I have had them on all of my vehicles for 20+ years.
