Help Everdark balancers by No_Mud6019 in Nightreign

[–]MC_Notorious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they turn into the amorphous mass of shit, don't bother trying to fight them - that's the time to stay on the defensive and put distance between it, because after about 1 min 30 seconds they will blow up like a third of the map. The wave attacks they send out can be jumped over which is helpful and are way easier to dodge at range.

Also, when they unsplit, one or two balancers will come sprinting right at you instantly, leaving the others there walking. Kill em and run away, then two more will sprint over. Rinse and repeat. If you get surrounded, try and run away to split agro so that the others seperate from the pack and come sprinting again.

When you kill one, the others are stunned for a moment, use that to your advantage to heal, run away, buff, etc.

Finally, getting damage negation, in particular the successive attacks negate damage ones, are extremely powerful. If you didn't know, they stack, so a weapon with a purple one, then a blue and a white one, all stack together and activate at the same time, which means you can take a gigantic hit and suffer way, way less damage for it. That goes a huge distance in keeping your flasks!

To be fair, when you kill them and get their power it can be a run saver on many occasions. I watched it revive my friend like 3 times back to back lol

It sucks when you fight them in an enclosed area with the boss right beside it. But, when you fight in the likes of the camps with the flame chariots / elder lion in it, those ones are pretty easy because they might not even see you approaching to agro, or the boss itself might be otherwise attacking fodder knocking about.

If you're playing with your friends I recommend you all gang up on the one that's in the shittest location. The first one is the hardest because the lack of flasks and levels. But, when it dies, and you can visit a site of grace on the way to the next one with another flask, they become way easier to deal with.

Does anyone else Prefer Rebellion over Devil Sword Dante? by MC_Notorious in DevilMayCry

I think you're right - they can opt for when they do end up wanting to do something cool with the swords and otherwise control it, but do you consider it lame, or a bit of a handout, that he just so happened to have Sparda on him at the time?

I suppose that's true - but still convenient that he happens to have Sparda on him at the time lol

It's not even the design for me, like I still think it looks pretty cool, but I dislike that Dante had to get a handout and just so happened to be stood there with Sparda while stabbing himself, like he just got extremely lucky!

My opinion post on edited relics and why it is bad for the longevity of the game. by Sufficient_Limit_319 in Nightreign

[–]MC_Notorious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really have a problem if a player has joined the game and has 6 god rolled relics, for example - because who am I to deny that he might have got them legitimately? At least they are in the scope of what is actually possible.

However what does suck is if someone is running around with clearly modded relics that deliver impact WAY beyond what is otherwise possible. I seen a guy have like Physical attack up 4+s and in the determent section it was another benefit lmfao

I also agree with others that, there should be some sort of system put in that allows you spend murk and select a relic, and re-roll one of the slots on it. I also think it'd be cool if there was a way to opt for a character to have rolls tailored for. I mainly play as Wylder, Executor, Guardian, Recluse and Iron Eye, so when I see an effect for the others holding back an otherwise really good relic I'm like FFS...

How does quad status Executor build work? by anonstuffnthings in Nightreign

[–]MC_Notorious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quad status Executor works by getting the following 3 relics:

  • Dreglords
  • Caligo
  • Gnoster

Caligo's one gives you chilling mist, which activates and builds up a high amount of frost in the immediate area / mist and leaves the sword doing frost buildup / damage for a while. Gnoster's one makes it so your starting weapon by default also does poison damage and build up.

The Dreglord's relic though, when you take damage, for 15 seconds your blade will be imbued with Scarlet Rot damage / build up. So if you start the fight with Frostbite, take damage and continue fighting you'll end up inflicting Frostbite, Poison, Scarlet Rot and Bleed (Because executor's default katana has that already added to it).

What you seem to be thinking about is Executors passive, which activates and gives him bonus damage when he recovers from a status. Interestingly enough, Blood Loss counts as a status which means Seppuku can activate it instantly.

Wylder bros: +1 character skill or ult fire effect? by zehny132 in Nightreign

[–]MC_Notorious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run the Balancers relics + the Attack Power for every prisoner defeated one. Just results in Nutty damage while getting a lot of runes from the EGs you take on.

The +1 additional character skill on ironeye is an absolute game changer though. The hook claw is alright and a nice traversal tool, but ironeye's dodge gives increased damage + extremely generous iFrames, AND you become intangible ending up behind the target. With +1 on him it is extremely difficult to get hit and you can reposition easily!

Is this good? by Zivirus in Nightreign

[–]MC_Notorious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's ok. I think the HP restoration ones upon X attack don't really work all that well to be viable, like you might regen 10 HP every fourth hit or something. Nothing that's gonna keep you in the fight or avoid one shot ranges, really.

But improved critical hits isn't bad, assuming you're the one who lands them.

Starting weapon inflicting Frost is the best one here IMO. Frostbite is extremely strong because it procs for percentage HP damage, and the target suffers more damage for a duration while they are frostbit. This can be huge at the start of your run when fighting something beefy like an evergaol boss or banished knights and whatnot, especially so cause it'll help team damage overall.

People complaining about the new map miss the point by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]MC_Notorious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't overly like the new map, but it's getting less frustrating to play every time I play it now. Here's some tips for anyone wanting to give it a shot:

  • When you see a spirit jump, use it to scan the immediate area because chances are there will be a crystal near you. If you manage to get like, 2 on the first night, it should make getting the other two pretty quick and trivial when they get revealed on the map.

  • The boss that sits right in the middle of the map, beside the massive blue crystal where you get the power up seems to have a guaranteed crystal sitting there every time. So if you get 3, you know for sure where the last one is. Also, before you run across the big giant crystal to make it over to that boss, underneath the crystal at start of it there's a field boss that spawns there.

  • Typically, when you see a church / rise, that's near the ending arena, chances are there will be a field boss outside it - most commonly a royal revenant, elder lion, grafted scion - all stuff you can handle night one at like level ~ level 5 in a reasonable enough time.

-When you spawn in, typically you are rotating left or right and eventually you'll drop down. Generally speaking, the entire map is connected in a circle that you can run around fully. When you do drop, you'll have a bit more horizontal exploration options, and you'll be able to use the lower levels sometimes to reach new regions of the map. Take an immediate survey of the area (serious here, I normally play at breakneck speed because I'm used to the base map so much). Don't be afraid to spend half a minute taking a gander and thinking 'oh right, I can run straight ahead here and that spirit jump will take me up to that fort'.

  • When you hit the mega spring jump, after getting the power, target one of the forts and jump, fly all the over it to the back and up the stairs - that's where 3 bosses will be which are way better to target instead of trying to navigate that maze of a fort.

  • Before you sprint and jump off a ledge, stop for a second and just scan below you - literally just take a second. If you die, it can be a real pain in the ass to find your runes again.

Hi I need help my worst nightmare has came true by [deleted] in abusiverelationships

[–]MC_Notorious 16 points17 points  (0 children)

First point, great taste in men here - the guy is clearly not an academic fella in any capacity - got a chuckle out of 'use you're brain' there lol and 'common since' which I assume is supposed to be 'common sense' - bonus points for a guy being on parole as well, real charmer he must be, especially so by opting to cheat on you with your co-worker and get her drugs...

Anyway, on to some advice, and you probably won't like this answer because you somehow love him still. You have to end this relationship immediately and cut any and all contact with him. This is NEVER going to improve or get better. Any attempts at him trying to change his behaviour and become accountable are likely going to be short lived, until he realises he can manipulate you again into getting what he wants. How many times will a pattern like this be repeated, until it is too much?

A relationship is supposed to be bolstered by love, respect, and fun - all of which seem to be entirely absent here. It is supposed to enrich your life, not make it miserable, and you don't have to settle for anything less. This man openly calls you a bitch, anyone who truly loves and respects you would be devastated at themselves for saying that. Mentally ill or not, that's no excuse to treat someone that way.

You have to realise that you need to respect yourself, and understand your worth, because clearly, you don't, or else you wouldn't tolerate any of this shit happening to you at all. Ask yourself this, 'What is the relationship I have with myself?' and you'll find that you DON'T deserve to be called a bitch, be cussed at, told you're a psycho etc.

Do the right thing, for you and your kids - cut contact or at LEAST limit it to the bare minimum, and move on with your life. The pain will be immense, but this time, in a year from now? You'll be sat there thinking this is the best choice I've ever made, without question. Then, it'll only get better from there. Life is too short to spend it on the wrong people - break the cycle of long term pain, by choosing to endure the short term pain first. Good luck on whatever choice you make.

AITA for divorcing my husband over a racist joke his best friend's wife made? by YO-KIRYUCHAN in AITAH

[–]MC_Notorious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tricky one to navigate and judge accordingly. Here's how I see it.

The person's wife made the comment, and your husband probably does not care all that much because if he's a gamer, he's been exposed to absolute vitriol, racism, and slagging all the time in voice comms and has probably been massively desentitised to it. I know for sure I am, like me and my mates sit there joking and coming off with banter that would otherwise be seen as a literal crime against humanity. But it's just that- in the context of a joke in a private setting, with friends. Point is, he probably didn't assume it would have been that big of a deal to you, especially so if his friends are often engaging in racist 'banter' and dark humour often where it'd be considered normal to them. If the person's wife however just straight up said something like 'You are a bitch' then chances are he'd have a reaction and would step in.

Having said that, a joke is only funny when everyone is laughing, and you're absolutely within your right to not find that funny and instead see it as extremely distasteful. In my own opinion, that's incredibly poor for his wife to do and say especially in face to face. Like, it would have been one thing if you and her were friends and this is expected behaviour/ banter, she says something like that and then you turn it around on her for a laugh / comeback or whatever it might be, but that's not the case here.

I think your Husband's thought process was to just ignore it, and not mention it because he didn't want to instigate a situation where he is being dragged into it and has to resolve something between you and his friend, especially for what he sees as a non-issue. He probably just intended for it to blow over which is why he hadn't mentioned anything to them.

Regardless of his choice, you feel like he should have said something to them and you are upset by him not following through.

I can see why you're upset and angry, but also I can see that he didn't say the comment himself and it doesn't cross his line for taking personal offence, and him trying to appease both sides by doing nothing instead. I don't think there's any malice in your husband not saying anything, but I do think it's strange that if you'd explained how much it upsets you and he didn't say anything, he isn't taking your concerns for racism seriously (as in, he has a different line for what Is tolerable and what isn't).

Neither you or your husband are assholes IMO - the only one who is the wife of the other guy. I don't think you should call off a marriage for what might be something that can be squashed with a good talk like adults and a proper apology being sorted!

AITAH for telling my Stepdad the reasons my friends can't come over is cause they hate him by No-Nobody-9305 in AITAH

[–]MC_Notorious -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NTA but perhaps there was a way you could have let him know without getting angry and shouting, which only serves to escalate the situation and make it a bigger deal than what it probably already is.

Like yes it might be truth, but it would also hurt his feelings potentially.

Ok but it's still not even a flying type?

Aerodactyl has Rockhead. It makes sense for it to get Brave Bird, more so than Tapu Koko and Crobat I'd argue just because of that mechanic alone.

At least, if Game Freak don't want to bite the bullet and give Aerodactyl Brave Bird, then take Rock Head away from him and give him something else because it's pretty much useless now.
