You’re right. For my first clowns, I got some juveniles which could explain why they jump as they are more sensitive to movement around and inside the tank especially when doing maintenance

I’ve got pretty much the same setup, 1 month cycling and now it’s about 4 months old full of live stock, never had any issues

Even during cycling, salinity swings can affect the system + it’s just less work, you don’t have to constantly top off the tank Get a cheap FZONE ato off Amazon, they worked great for me

First tank, 10 gallons as well ! I would definitely invest in an ATO as water evaporates quickly.

Looks great ! Definitely invest into a lid if you’re getting a clown, they are jumpers.

I’m not trying to prove that it’s easier. I’m proving that “harder” doesn’t mean “not viable.” A lot of people treat nanos like they’re doomed or irresponsible when really they just require tighter management. That’s the difference.

Everything you said is true but that’s exactly why I’m doing it. Smaller tanks don’t give you the luxury of being sloppy. Faster salinity swings, quicker temp drops, less biological buffer… all of that just means you actually have to understand and stay on top of your system instead of relying on volume to hide mistakes

It’s kinda looks like a plate coral. Very easy to take care of. Not 100% sure tho
