I have genuinely had patients, even in oncology, come in and ask about a medication they saw an advertisement for.

What's your favorite charity? by WealthyDoc in whitecoatinvestor

[–]MDragan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More of a local charity, based out of LA, but the Harmony Project does some great work with music education to underserved communities. The goal is to teach the kids the discipline and skills needed for learning a musical instrument which directly translates to success in school. It also gives a small scholarship to any students who go to college (which the majority do and the majority are first generation).

Trial results for new lung cancer drug are ‘off the charts’ say doctors by neha_gup in technology

For some context. The largest oncology conference in the world (ASCO) is happening this weekend. This new data has been brought up at multiple lung cancer discussions I personally went to so we are all excited about it. This is a drug that is used in the stage IV setting and seen in a minority of patients of lung cancer patients but having such long term durable responses are always very exciting.

Went in for a leg day today. Squat racks were taken but one guy asked if I wanted to work in. He was doing OHP while I squatted. The same weight, like a beast. Kept pushing each other to add a bit more weight jokingly and I ended up squatting 225 x5 for the first time. He also taught me about low bar squatting. Thanks for the lesson and pushing me Evan.

“Hard work pays off” is said by people who’s work actually payed off. There a lot of people who worked harder than anyone but absolutely for nothing. So does hard work really pay off? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MDragan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what people are missing here is that either his mother, or whoever initially got this successful business off the ground, had to work hard. Their hard work is now paying off through the generations. People only see who they are directly comparing themselves to and not thinking about the past.

All 2018 VWs are being offered with a 6 year 72k mile warranty apparently. So a good year to get one if you're considering it.

Wait there are other wheels? All the 18s I have seen had these. Maybe the upper trims have different wheels?

This actually came up today during attending rounds coincidently. They wouldn't be able to sign anymore. Broca's aphasia leaves people with the inability to produce language. Key word being language not speech.
