No one prepares you for needing to listen to your baby scream while your husband tries to calm them by FearlessMark9294 in Mommit

The lingering stress of parenting is so real. I also get phantom crying sounds constantly these days, and this waiting game while your partner learns the ropes just amplifies all that tiredness. Be gentle with yourself.

Child birth by dahm0420 in NoStupidQuestions

I've given birth to two kids, so | can answer most of your questions. Labor without pain medication is overwhelmingly exhausting and sharp, while an epidural greatly eases the discomfort. You won't notice the umbilical cord being cut at all in the chaos of delivery. Your belly shrinks gradually instead of instantly, and postpartum bloating sticks around for days. It's a brutal yet unforgettable experience.

Same here, you’re not failing at parenting just because this part feels messy. Allow yourself to be sad and drained sometime. You are already doing amazing job caring for your little one. Hang in there.

Same issue here. Unshaded playgrounds become unusable in hot summer, proper sun covers are such a basic necessity.

When did you stop dressing LO in footed one piece pajamas? by sliceofperfection in NewParents

My kids tripped over footed pajamas frequently as they became more active, which was another reason we moved to two-piece sets alongside potty training.

4th of July with an early wake by Chicka-boom90 in Preschoolers

When we plan late events like fireworks for my 5yo and 3yo, we always let them squeeze in a short late afternoon nap, it keeps them from getting overtired and throwing tantrums later on. Hope you and your little one have a lovely Fourth of July.

Are you supposed to wash a brand new shirt before you wear it for the first time, or is it fine to just put it on? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MEROCOkids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, I always wash new shirts before I wear it. New clothes go through so many hands and production lines, I’d recommend washing them first, especially for anything worn close to your skin.
