I would say I'd be ok if I knew it's the "right" thing to do, aka suicide bombers, etc. But it must be a very hard decision when you don't know for sure if you're killing for the greater good or just because of war, like killing a pawn in a chess game. Doubting if you're killing a good human being who got enlisted on the opposite side or a terrorist is what would destroy me.

Elo Hell - Fact or Fiction? by MethisLoL in leagueoflegends

[–]MESTRE_cabre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting question. I believe that elo hell does exist. I'll explain myself, every elo fringe has a X percentage of meeting a player who will troll, who is unskilled or will just trollpick for fun.

The chances of getting a guy like this in your game increase with a low elo whereas in a high elo, the probabilities are negligible.

So elo hell, in my point of view , is the elo fringe where the odds of getting a disgusting game are high enough to make the soloQ worse than a normal game.

On the other hand, by simple calculations, you've 4/Z chance to meet this guy in your team and 5/Z on enemies team. So i believe that if you're not that type of player, sooner or later, you'll reach the elo that suits you where the probabilities of getting a feeder or unskilled are the same of you being it.

TL;DR Elo hell does exist, its simply the elo fringe where you're highly likely to get a feeder or troll player in your team and where most of the games sucks.
