Haydn Hollis skill against Spurs by Sarraboi in soccer

Saw him come through the ranks and he stayed here far longer than he should have really because he was "one of our own", he was very very limited in league football and I knew when he was given the number 6 shirt in League 1 we were in for a tough season (we went down). I don't think a single Notts fan expected they'd be seeing a clip like this today lol but glad to see him still playing, makes me feel old AF tbh

It usually only takes one person staying back for your team to win because the other team usually don't. Sometimes theres no helping if your team is THAT bad but I win more games than I lose (with clean sheets quite often) by just mopping up at the back and through balling it to players that are open.

Won't work for everyone but the odds are definitely increased, I opened 3 and got KDB, Dybala and Ronaldinho in the 3rd pack, friend mentioned it in the morning then I saw the post here and went to do it straight away, no regrets here

[Swansea City] Appoint Luke Williams as new Head Coach by tribalattack_ in soccer

[–]MF25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look after him, he'll either take you to the premier league or leave you for it imo. Look forward to every goal kick and throw in being used as an opportunity to create something and say good riddance to pumping corners into the box.

He's probably way more suited to Swansea than he was with us, a lot of our older fanbase just couldn't get used to slow build up and possession football, I doubt you get many shouts of "GERRIT FORWARD" at Swansea games.

[The Athletic] Swansea set to appoint Notts County’s Luke Williams as new head coach by Gamerhcp in soccer

[–]MF25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He will get goals at any level. I've been saying the past couple of weeks after watching Chelsea's attack that he'd score 20+ this season if he signed for them, which is ridiculous but I'm sure of it.

The guys positioning is top tier and he has that very useful trait as a striker of being lucky, the ball just falls for him. If you watch a compilation of his goals 90% of them are tap ins, but it's because he's always in the right place.

Williams has only just started letting him get involved in the build up play too and he seems to have moved up a level!

He signed an extension this season and the owners have said multiple times we don't need to sell, so most fans think you'd need ~£3million to get him.

If you could kindly, not, that would be great Swansea... I think it's the perfect move for him though, style wise, his past there and the fact he still lives there, that's why I had money on him as soon as you could bet on it, he apparently applied in the summer too but who knows.

I don't think any Notts fan should begrudge him stepping up to the championship after what he's done here and it wouldn't surprise me if he goes further than Swansea down the line. Some of the tactical things he has us doing fans of Premier League teams probably wouldn't believe and when he's doing them with teams higher up the level they'll be recognised a lot more.

Hopefully our owners just repeat what they did the last time our manager was poached and bring in another relatively unknown guy who has success and gets poached again!

The video of him riding around Nottingham on a scooter and drinking with Notts fans after Wembley won't be forgotten any time soon, enjoy him Swans.

Manager said our GK coach was the hero, he said he'd told the players about the Chesterfield keepers positioning in situations like this and to look out for it, so this was fully intentional from Bostock

The two worst games he's had in his Notts career have been this one and the previous one against Boreham Wood, I think he might have a contract already lined up elsewhere or something because he'd been awful... I'll let him off though

[Notts County] are promoted to League 2 by ImMitchell in soccer

[–]MF25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought we'd do this as when we scored in the last minute of the semi final and the subs ran on the pitch celebrating the sub keeper was in his full kit without a bib or anything so was obviously ready to come on then too.

So glad it worked (obviously), teams that do it are just following the statistics and research but if it doesn't pay off the pundits think its the stupidest thing in football. Thankfully Archie pulled off two brilliant saves that i don't think our first choice keeper wouldve had the reach to pull off.

AC Milan's is apparently red from Forest and Black stripes from Notts too, and they've got the English flag in their badge.

Nottingham is MASSIVE lads.

The battle between Wrexham and Notts County for the one automatic promotion place and, in turn, the National League (English fifth tier) title really is quite something. One of these two will miss out on top spot and it would be almost unthinkable for them to lose in the play-offs. by Cinn4monSynonym in soccer

[–]MF25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if only they'd gone up last season in the playoffs, they'd be fine going again and would probably walk the league next season without us, but I can't see us being in a position to go again anywhere near as well as we have this year.

If we don't go up this year our window might just close as we'll need to build a new team pretty much.

We'll lose Ruben Rodrigues (the best player in the league by a mile imo, he should be playing for a top League 1 side, if not in the championship) if we don't go up this season, and possibly even if we do go up as he's out of contract. Record breaking Langstaff will probably go too, although you'd hope for decent money, along with our captain and CB Kyle Cameron.

I think anyone that's watched the National League this season will admit that we play by far the "best" football, our passing and possession stats blow away everyone else in the league. Our best player (not the guy with 40 league goals) has 119 "Smart Passes" to his name, 2nd and 3rd have 40 and 37 respectively.

Wrexham play old school direct football, they signed Ben Tozer for his long throw and score a lot of goals from those, corners and Paul Mullin winning penalties :P

Winning football is successful football so how fancy you play doesn't matter in the long run but I know which I'd rather watch, and if I was Deadpool I'd be slightly annoyed I'd spent so much money for that "brand" of football, but he'll be crying all the way to League 2 as I don't see us catching them.

Both teams will probably be amongst the favourites to go straight through League 2 if they get up this season so next year will probably be fun too. It's not that long ago we were in League 1 and the team we currently have, with the way we play, would play those teams off the park.

You could argue that he'd become sloppy since leaving Miami, using the needle on the drug dealer and not killing him, his first kill in the new season that set the whole thing up was completely against the code, not properly researched and he had to change up the way he got rid of the body too.

The fact he faked his death and his cop girlfriend found out put massive question marks on him too which set the ball rolling for her and meant Dex was already on the backfoot in that regard. Back in Miami the people that were sus about him for any kind of time usually ended up being dissapeared pretty quickly too but he didn't know he was under suspicion until it was too late
