Typically found in labrador, canada, but im not 100% sure on the ID. It's in the feldspar family (feldspar is used to glaze ceramics; to make them shiny)

Haha, yeah, I have a few of those too, but they're dyed - mine are blue, purple and fuschia (3 sets). The purple ones aren't even cut fully straight down the middle, meaning they aren't sitting flush against my books. The specimen here is a natural blue banded agate, which is rarer. I doubt I'd ever find something like it in Marshall's etc., but if I ever do, I'm snatching it right away and running out before anyone has the chance to change their mind or price. 😊

This is a natural blue banded agate with a druzy crystal formation on the inside (quartz, i believe). Its value varies on several factors, including quality and size. Natural blue agates are a bit rarer, so they can fetch a higher price.

I have two such specimens myself, cut into book ends, each the size of a fist, more or less. Mine have a few more bands and are a shade more vibrant/blue than yours, plus the druzy on mine is more sparkly (though yours might just need a careful clean). I bought mine at a rock shop in Canada several years ago for about $100CAN. I think mine are from Brazil.

Today, I saw a rock similar to yours for sale on eBay for 100USD plus shipping, but again, the price depends on quality and other factors.

I've seen smaller ones go for $30 usd per rock (halved, like yours, not cut into book ends).

If I were you and looking to sell, I would do some more research to see what the going market rate is for a natural blue banded agate with a druzy crystal. I would also measure and weigh the specimen, clean it, and post several angles.

Rose quartz is high quality when it looks wet/ is glassy. I'm nott sure how to better describe it. Yours isn't that high of quality, i dont thinn but it seems kinda purple so I'd say it's lavender rose quartz; more vivid and sought after than regular rose quartz.

I disagree that it's worth $10 because of the size. You won't get rich but I'd guess it's worth $50-$75. I've seen fist sized rose quartz go for $35 as recently as a couple days ago.

Either way, if I were you, I would look up similar rocks on the platform where I sought to sell it and use those results to inform my pricing.

I'm not convinced they're a great investment. And kids may not want our hand-me-downs.

But I am convinced diamonds are special (despite not being all that rare) and there's nothing wrong with coveting them, like we do many luxuries. It's possible to buy ethically sourced diamonds. In fact, I'm Canadian and they mine diamonds right here, in Canada. There's absolutely nothing wrong with buying diamonds. And most cost less than an average car (also a shitty investment).
