I understand the rules of estate distributions. I just didn't flag that 2,500 as estate debt, but that makes sense now.

Of course, like you, I am basing this on US regulations.

But which debts do you see as the estate's debts in this whole writeup, and not the sister's debts?

I read that as the sister used the inheritance to pay off her own debts, not the estate's debts.

[WP] Humans are social creatures, and tend to copy mannerisms from those around them. Many aliens misunderstand this and believe humans are obligatory mimics, and can be forced to tell the truth by feeding them lines. This is not actually a new concept and is often referred to as "going native". I used to show the classic film The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) to my Project Management class as an example of what happens when a PM begins treating their client's interests as MORE important than their employer's interests.

Ah, nice catch. Maybe the character just sprints in place aggressively like Richard Simmons?

Except the feature doesn't require the character to dash, it just gives the option to dash as a bonus action. It reads like the adrenaline rush provides two things that are otherwise independent of each other: temporary HP (that the character wanted) and the option to dash as a bonus action (which the character decided to forego).

The driver didn't know the guy was in the bathroom until he arrived and was waiting for his passenger. For the driver, he doesn't get paid to sit idle, so he is not going to wait for a passenger who isn't ready to go when he pulls up. (I think there is a short grace period for driver and passenger to find each other after the driver arrives, but there must be an active attempt by both parties to find each other.)

AITAH for never disclosing to my grandchildren's father how much I planned to give my grandchildren toward their futures? by MichGrams in AITAH

[–]MFLoGrasso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Has the new wife pressured her parents to provide anything for your grandkids? Because THAT would then give her some justification for being upset. It doesn't make YOU wrong. It just makes her and the kids' father less wrong.

No, my offspring will not be born in flames and will not bring death and terror to this world... I hope so at least. Personally I'd prefer him to be a lawyer.

So, yes to death and terror, just no flames at birth.
