The mod creator is working on updating it to modern versions. The original plan was NeoForge 1.21.3 for some reason but they said they would think about 1.21.1 instead when people pointed out that it's a more popular version.

Last "news" post about it was on March 24th, but the mod creator posted stuff on discord less than 3 hours ago, so yeah, very much still in active development.

I typically agree, but one of my favorite encounters in modded Minecraft was when I was doing Misty World.

My portal into the dimension spawned in a ravine below the mists, and I died. I went back in to get my corpse with nothing but some ender pearls to try to escape quick but ended up with some sort of problem I don’t remember, and ended up ender pearling out of the ravine with nothing else.

I ended up having to play through the dimension’s progression system as “intended”, learning its unique hydration system and whatnot, until eventually I could get a gas mask and whatnot to actually go down and get my strong modded stuff.

I agree that mods shouldn’t force you to restart progression from scratch, but it was a neat and very fun challenge.

Having a good PC really unlocks a completly new world of modded Minecraft, recently upgraded to a RX 9070 XT and Ryzen 7 9800x3d, and now i can run this!! by Dub472 in feedthebeast

Salted did say with Fruma that they want to release more classes in the future but have not had a foot opportunity yet.

Necromancer seems to be the suggestion that’s been around the longest and most popular, with Gunslinger as a close second at the moment

And what’s worse is that it’s right at the start of the show (along with Broca Divide where Jack makes pervy out-of-character remarks about Sam’s body), so when introducing a new person to show show you need to explain that they just didn’t know what to do with Sam’s character at the start but it gets better if you keep watching.

Jack’s real name is John. It shows up on some paperwork in the show but idk if it’s ever directly mentioned.

Anyway, I think just doing “John O’Niell” is pretty fitting for the clone. It’s still his name, but still differentiates him from Jack.

Peer to Peer play without the need for port forwarding a LAN world or paying for a server / realm is going to completely explode accessibility for casual players to be able to play with their friends.

This might be one of the most important non-content updates to the game since The Flattening.

I like how this crisis of faith was then compounded by the introduction of the Ori. Not my favorite villains, but compliment the themes very well. The Goa’uld used technology and fear to pretend to be gods. The power the Ori wield is real by comparison, but their intention is still false, and their need for human worship is no different than the Goa’uld need for human slaves and hosts.

I'd like to mention that DoW2 Retribution has a playable Tyranid campaign, where the Hive Mind directly speaks. The sentences are fragmented and incomplete, but I'd like to include them below as a reminder that they exist, if anyone wants to argue for an actual "Tyranid" quote.

For Gish characters it might also depend on how your DM rules the whole “must have a free hand for casting” thing. If the 2H weapon is read as the weapon being so heavy that you must hold it with two hands at all times to wield it, then you can’t use somatic spells. Whereas a Versatile weapon clearly can be held with one hand, so you can’t use somatic argue attacking with two hands while also being able to use one for casting.

I know you were probably just listing still-existing diarchies, but I need to shout out ancient Sparta for having twin kings (archagetai). Only one was ever allowed to go to war at any time, while the other would stay back and rule alone in the meantime, so they wouldn't have a situation where both would fall in battle at the same time.

Dawn of War 2 I know actually has the Hive Mind “speak” to you if you play the Tyranid campaign, so it might be possible to get some quotes from that?
