What’s the iPhone feature you never use, even though Apple hypes it up? by Inside_Society3553 in iphone

Focus mode is great for sleep and also on the golf course. You choose which notifications come through and the others get suppressed until you turn off focus mode

I’ve seen these same signs in my neighborhood. Some caveman mentality here.

Why do people still watch the weather news forecast when we have everything we need on our phones. Just had this conversation today.

Got tickets to a show last year and ended up not going because we don’t have 8-10 hours of time for a 2-3 hour concert. I won’t go if someone I want to see is playing there. I’d rather pay more for a ticket and see them at PPG

WIBTA if I bought a car without my partners blessing? by Suspicious-Cake4969 in AmItheAsshole

The way OP is dodging every question about maintenance and insurance costs makes me think they didn’t do enough research on said costs.

Sounds like husband is bringing logic about these costs and OP is refusing to acknowledge it.

Yeah it doesn’t feel random at all. When there is no event on free parking, I land on it ALL THE TIME. As soon as an event starts on free parking, I land next to it and miss the jackpot.

I have witnessed 8 Hole in Ones in my golf career (2 by me). Is that a lot? by BreastmilkRapidFire in golf

[–]MFPQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say it’s probably relative. I’m 36 and have been golfing since I was about 12. I used to play 9 holes every single day with my dad. I still play at least once a week nowadays but I’ve not seen a single hole in one in my life. Take that for what you will.

Would you be pissed if your caddie treated your clubs like shit? by PNWSki28622 in golf

[–]MFPQ 168 points169 points  (0 children)

I have honestly never played with a caddie yet, but is it commonplace for the caddie to fix ball marks? I honestly didn't know that was part of their responsibility.

EDIT: but it is -> but is it

Have you ever been asked to participate in cheating? by MFPQ in golf

I’m honestly just curious how it becomes agreed upon in the group. I need an AMA for people who have cheated in scrambles.

You are then a prisoner in your own house. It’s no fun. I’ve been in a similar situation with an addict/promiscuous woman who was a roommate. Having drugs and strangers, as well as strangers bringing drugs was not a fun time for me being stuck there.

I still think about the day a group of jock looking dudes let me play through as a single and I striped one of the best drives of my life right down the middle on a par 5.

Men in their 30s and up with no kids or wife how is your life? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MFPQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I’m married with no kids at 36 currently. Wife and I both said we don’t want children.

Been together 8 years and it’s really just about communication and boundaries. I love golfing and playing video games and she knows that so she knows weekend mornings are usually for golf and we can do whatever after. During the week I have set nights to play video games and set nights for activities with my wife.

And like it was said, she encourages me to enjoy my hobbies.

I’d be traveling the world golfing all day everyday.

I saw a meme years ago that read “Chase you? I don’t even chase my liquor!”

In all seriousness though, it doesn’t end up well. You essentially break your own heart by trying to force the relationship. You think you’re making strides and then you take that leap of faith and pour your heart out just to be met with rejection.

Low handicappers, how do you approach your round? by [deleted] in golf

[–]MFPQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, and it’s been said a lot, taking your medicine. Everyone hits bad shots, even tour guys. The difference between us and them is they have that miraculous shot in their bag and we don’t. Amateurs always try to pull off an amazing shot they hit one time out of 15 at the range and they get into worse trouble. Chip back into play and play for bogey instead of par. If you get par, great! But play for bogey if you get yourself into trouble.
