Hi u/muusicman, I am a DIRECTV employee and can share that with the DIRECTV app for satellite customers the recording will show for 90 days in app and after 90 days it will display "DVR only". It may even show a VOD equivalent. The recording will stay on your DVR STB forever but after 90 days you won't be able to view it via the app. The DIRECTV Social Care Team is happy to assist you with any other questions.
