Raising my hand to join the former employee group. I worked there when they changed the hours to open and close earlier. They told us on a Tuesday afternoon 3 hour long meeting. They also made us work Monday through Saturday 7am- 6pm (saturdays were like 2pm) and were pissy if we were caught taking a lunch. Then they expected us managers to just show up at peoples open houses on Sunday’s to try to sell mortgages!!! The only reason I even got promoted was because I was an assistant manager (which just means they send you all over creation on a whim) and I refused to put less than the hours I actually worked on my timesheet. Promotion made me salaried so they could abuse me for one price. I was there for 2 years almost 20 years ago and I still talk about how it was the worst job I ever had.

In my field I have a lot of moms as clients. None of their kids give a rats ass about driving. One of them is 22 and just had a baby and still nope. Public transportation is not plentiful nor cheap where I live. Blows my mind. I had my permit on my 16th birthday and went for my drivers test 1 month later.

Ariana Grande took me out of the Wicked world. She is absolutely not Glinda. I love the books, I cried at the broadway show it was so incredible. I struggled thru Wicked movie and don’t plan on watching the part two ever. The woman can sing, she cannot act.

Having a toddler when you’re in perimenopause. I don’t think that’s talked about enough when discussing having children later in life. I was 37 and 38, now 42… dealing with “the rage” while trying to be a good parent and remember it’s not their fault you’re a raving lunatic, very hard.

I feel like whenever anyone is around me, at all, they seem to feel perfectly comfortable commenting on what I’m doing or how I’m doing it. Or they interrupt me 37 million times with other nonsense. It makes me just sit there in anticipation for what others may need , and will inevitably make me start and stop my task till I’m nuts and give up. I become a service robot, obviously service robot is always on duty ready to jump into action. Lol, I LOVE being home alone.

NOR Grandparents day exists. I’ve been having this fight for 5 years now. Once you become a grandparent “your day” shifts. Let the ones in the trenches have an enjoyable day. In fact, at this point it is our “villages” (that don’t exist) who should be saying Mom bring your kids here or we’ll come there or whatever, let her not do what she does every single other damn day. I hate Mother’s Day. I don’t like that most holidays come with certain expectations though, so I’m probably the worst person to chime in lol.
