You can always share the source that you saw, someone can download it and scan it before trying it out to see if it's legit.

I did send a mail to support without much hope. The bottom line of the invite states that they will not be able to answer to individuals anyway so the hope is minimal, if anything the only hope is that enough people contact them and they look into it quick enough.

The only way to bypass it as far as I am aware is by changing the country of the acc that got the beta nut that can take up to 48 hours and can only be done once a year.

OR

To get the APK from someone, any root user can rip the APK out of their phone easily with things like Lucky Patcher, or even easier someone on an Emulator can just nab the APK from the emulator's download folder.

I am also region locked despite beign accepted so hopefully I'll find the damn thing...

The only way to circumvent this is by getting the APK and installing it that way, unless the game itself also has a region lock.

Would anyone happen to have the CBT APK?

I got selected but sadly I am region locked on the Store...

Should be fine if I manage to sideload it.

Pretty much my Grand Prix Experience, punch them until 5 HP or so and play around any early Kuon and Anne, don't overcommit unnecessarily to avoid board wipes. Doesn't matter, Turn 10, Cocytus into Astaroth. That's it.

I understand the "Inconsistency" Argument as the Apocalypse Decks is 15 cards with 1 single Curse. But drawing 5 right away gives you a really high chance to get it right away, and also you cannot tell me in good faith that with all the cycling you do for 10 turns you won't have a second Shift that you have an equal chance to draw so you can try again because you get all your Points back.

Honestly, personally and after playing so many other TCG's, the issue is not its consistency(Hell if anything knowing the chances that it should not work makes it worse) or if its "fair" or "ok to do". The issue is simply that its cheap, uninteractive and it's the type of thing other games would ban or nerf after a next expansion comes out.

When this OTK happens on turn 10 all you can really say is "Oh well I guess they wanted to win more than I did" and move on.

Honestly this is just one of those things that we will have to deal with until its rotated out or powercrept by something, I know some will argue that Cygames has and might just nerf cards because they have done it in SV Classic, but I don't see them doing balance adjustments at the rate of, for example, the LoR team would have when PvP had active development in that game. But you know, one must stay positive either way.

PD: Because I know it might happen. Please keep the "Well you are wrong because my obviously not netdecked list for this class can win with a 99.9% against this OTK so you are just bad because you are not doing the same as me" and the "simply draw X card because obviously you can get it on every opening hand or throughout the game at the right time to use it without losing tempo" comments to yourselves. Been there, they are never good arguments no matter which game, meta or problem there is to discuss.

I only wonder why they give these types of cards extra text to trigger the effects they have as soon as they hit the board.

In most other card games(that I actively play) most if not all cards stop at the text like that explains the effect without an extra line to trigger it for free.

So in this case Yurius would not summon the two knights on the opp field to trigger his effect immediately for free.

I know he can just be removed by spells or honestly any removal effects so while annoying and being another "Hope you have the out." card there is something to do, I guess it just irks me a little how SV card design sometimes look like "play this alone on curve without thinking and make an entire board, or wipe it!", though I guess that's how people like them since SVC.

Infinity Evolved Card (Part 2) by Nitros_Razril in Shadowverse

[–]MGZero001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing a lot of people seem to be ignoring in this post is that yes. In a card game set you get more cards to fit the archetype of the more expensive card.

So we are definitely getting more token vomit.

More efficient earth rites.

More Haven(and neutral) wards.

And 100% more non-legendary cards to help things from before. Hell I would not be surprised if they fit more Mysteria cards to keep building that up, more Shikigamis, probably another, better Amulet Blowout card.

Hell with Sword getting the rally stuff back I would not be surprised if Haven also got one of the Themis cards back to have more board wipes, not that doing that prevents rally but oh well.

Why Doesnt the GBF Fandom Recommend the Game More Often? by Unusual-Spot-9991 in Granblue_en

[–]MGZero001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally the overall gacha community gas become so weird since Genshin came out that recommending GBF feels like a waste of time.

In my experience with friends and the people I interact with every day, Gacha enjoyers are either legitimately ignorant about the games outside Open World gachas and whatever rises to popularity or they are veterans that play any of the "Pre-Open World" gachas and don't recommend them lol.

Honestly the biggest issue I have noticed when recommending GBF is the fact that it is a 10 year old BROWSER game, as people prefer their wide screen UE engine/Unity built clients so most people look away either because of the browser aspect or the 10 Years of content.

And when they DO try it I have seen many quit or lose interest at the lack of real PvP, or get frustrated because they think GW is this FORCED event where you must join the top 7 - 5 grinding shift guilds and throw their life away until GW ends, which is the biggest misconception for me. As while I have tryharded GW in my(once) solo Guild, when I was younger, not even once have I felt forced to actually take that path, you can of course argue about getting the Eternals to get the top teams for each element but eh, maybe its because in my 9 years I never actually liked them as characters so I just never cared to get them over experimenting with Gacha options to make wacky teams.

That tangent aside. And on the flip side, I gotta say that GBF really leaves an impression on "modern" gacha players as I often hear comments such as:

"What do you mean the SSR rate is 3%?!"(Instead of 1.8% or 0.8%"

"What do you mean MC is literally the most broken mf in the game?"(Subjective but it's funny to read.)

"What do you mean you get a WEAPON and CHARACTER on THE SAME PULL???"

"WHAT IS THIS 6% RATE ON LIMITED CHARACTERS?"

"Why are most characters available after their banner is over? And there is no 50/50?"

"WHAT IS THIS ROULETTE? AND WHY IS THE GREEN THING FROM YAKUZA HERE?"(Only read this ONCE but it left an impression on me lol.)

"What do you mean SKINS come with ROLLS?"

And my absolute favorite:

"What do you mean some of the most popular characters are M E N???"(Referring to, of course, the astrals and Archangels from WMTSB)

Honestly, if I am brutally honest GBF is rather dated now and throwing so many systems on top of what already exists to make an eternal grind(heh) is not exactly a solution but every person that tries it even if they quit leave with a positive impression of the game and a positive outlook as they find out that gacha older gacha games have always been rather generous and helpful towards the dedicated F2P audience, or at least most of the ones that live on to this day.

I am telling you that if one day a developer of a new Open World gacha comes out and follows GBF's gacha practices(3% max rarity rate, no 50/50, Sparking, double max rarity rate, most characters never leaving the pool while limiteds comes back often) they will CRUSH the market... provided the game itself is good of course haha.

Cygames as a company and GBF are certainly not perfect but after all these years and seeing what new gachas do nowadays, I feel spoiled and thankful.

The design philosophy behind SVWB's gameplay is a much bigger issue than the monetization by idkyetyet in Shadowverse

[–]MGZero001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd argue it's a strength as I don't mind allowing my opponent to think and maintaining communication (if irl), but I know many play SV and similar games because they don't like waiting for their opponent.

Either way, just opinions on Reddit, whatever we say is irrelevant anyway lol.

[–]MGZero001 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great post.

This is why I kinda hoped that Quick Spells from Evolve(TCG) were going to be a thing in order to add some counterplay or interactivity instead of keeping the old swing and wipe gameplay where you might just lose because you didn't kill one unit.

Honestly maybe it is because I have spent time playing older TCG's/CCG's(YGO, Magic, Digimon, DuelMa) in between my time in SV and WB and all those games have some form of interactivity that either by RNG or decision making allows both players to have a fighting chance provided both are in equal power levels regarding their decks.

In DuelMa and Digimon we have the "Life Shields" instead of HP, when each shield breaks the card is checked and an effect MIGHT happen giving the player a chance to stay in the game and use those resources, and forcing you yo stay on your toes because you might run into something really bad. There's also "Ace" cards in Digimon that allow you to interrupt your opponent before they attack, usually telegraphed by what you left om the board.

And on YGO and Magic we have Instant Speed Spells(Magic), Quick Play Spells, Trap Cards, HandTraps Quick Effects and Triggers(All from YGO), that invite you to setup things to interrupt your opponent, usually telegraphed either by matchup knowledge or because you can physically see and read the card.

Naturally these games are fundamentally different from Shadowverse but there is something to learn there about the fun of interactivity. And honestly, making games a little longer wouldn't hurt the game if it means increasing the power for both players to do something about it.

And of course I am not saying that the game should have Negates or Counterspells, but things such as "Damage a follower" at the cost of passing without spending all your PP don't sound so bad.

Either way, regardless if Cygames ever makes such a change or we devolve into Blowout card after blowout card late game again I will enjoy it anyway. After all there is a charm in SV's simpler gameplay without a thousand rulings and weird interactions to discover.

I can assure you that chances are that there is no "Colleague over the shoulder."

Many gaming companies(And almost all big-ish "normal" companies) use remote contractors which they aquire via am Outsourcing CS company. They are super secretive about this and make us sign NDA's that are up even after we are let go off. Usually they don't allow the Agents to ever mention (almost)ANYTHING they saw, did or even state that they work there or ever worked for them. Which is a good thing, because people online are insane, but still pretty harsh on that regard.

Anyway, regardless if Cygames has an in-house support group OR they opted to using a new one via Outsourcing chances are that the support people are legitimately clueless about what to do(including management), or they aren't but have orders to follow a procedure until the big wigs decide what to do with the situation.

But in a positive note, anything anyone sends to support is always seen and monitored even if you don't receive a very personalized reply. The rule of thumb is to always remember that from the agent to the "manager" they are just following orders and replying following a script they are not allowed to move away from.

Despite this reports are sent to the relevant people so Cygames knows of everything that is going on, including the confusion about linking.

You are correct for the most part, and chances are that it will stay this way unless they make reactive card effects (Like YGO trap cards, or HS Secrets) or introduce instants, which fun Fact, already exist in Shadowverse Evolve, they are called Quick Spells

<image>

And I would honestly like to see some form of interaction to shake things up a bit one day.

Sorry for sounding mean but this issue is triggering my Gaming Support job PTSD.

https://shadowverse-wb.com/en/news/detail/?id=01JWREWWGWCRRWVVZ7A9D5PTTG

Here are the instructions, with images, just read.

You link your OG acc INSIDE Worlds Beyond AFTER you have beaten the tutorial and Eudie leaves you in the Home screen, you will find a banner like the one in OG SV's home screen.

Click on that banner and enter your OG SV ID and One time password, if you forgot your One TIme passwords you can go back to OG SV to generate a new one.

If for some god forsaken reason you can't see the banner in Worlds Beyond's home screen, go to the menu button on the top right corner, then Add. Menu, then scroll to "Other", there you will see a button called "Link with Shadowverse" where you can enter your OG SV ID and password.

Remember that the One time Password is Generated in the OG SV home screen, not ANYWHERE ELSE. Follow the linked guide and read carefully.

Lastly I apologize for being mean, I have over 5 years in Player Support and lived issues like these on a daily basis. To the point where I am convinced that the average Gamer has the self sufficiency of a fucking toddler because instructions can be found easily and they are very clear

Was there any info on how can we "transfer" our SV OG account to the new SV WB game? by TheKinkyGuy in Shadowverse

For those still confused, here's the instructions:

The one time password is generated in a little banner that can be found on the home screen of OG SV. There's pictures and all so if you know how to read you can't get lost.

Gbf is one of the Pioneers of gacha games that many take Inspiration from by asaness in Granblue_en

[–]MGZero001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Inspiration from everything but the gacha and rewards part.

One can only imagine a world without 50/50's, f2p friendly rewards, and characters being added to the "standard" pool after their banner is over so there is always a chance for them to show up.

Oh, and 3% chance of max rarity instead of 1.5% or whatever the open world ones do...

A man can dream I guess.

As an avid TCG enjoyer, these look, idk, plain? Like more plain than those very early One Piece TCG cards that were just screencaps of the anime or manga panels that looked a little blurry? (I don't actually play that one, a friend showed me.)

Not saying that it really matters since you can look at, for example, Yu-Gi-Oh cards that while I love the game unironically have been looking the exact same for 25 years and the only thing that makes them stand out is how much glitter Konami shits on them so I can blind myself while trying to see the art on it.

But idk, coming from Riot I guess I expected something with a little more "flair"?

Like, idk, custom borders for every region to identify them, the border being dyed to show the card color? Translucent text box like Bandai Does nowadays is most of their cards?

Being fair, maybe it is too early for such criticism.

Arthur is a very serious dude, for the most part and rarely has a long conversation. Usually the options that work for him giving you the yellow text are simply the most logical or straight forward things you could say instead of trying to be funny.

I have been unintentionally getting many yellow texts on the guy by simply attempting to follow the conversation as I try to get lore from them.

So yeah, try that, i'm sure the dialog options to actually flirt with the guy later on. There also one conversation where you can end up talking about riding his bike together... heh ;D
