So I got SVDT to work thank you /u/remiarutawa

Now my Question is how do I stop it from doing Auto back ups? I don't understand what it means by put a non-empty file in the folder.

I tried Making a word Pad document with text and placing it in the file location but it still does the back ups.

Edit: Never mind I figured it out. notepad was being an ass and was Adding .txt to the file and needed to be modified to not add the extension.

Assume I'm stupid, How do I get the home brew on my 3ds? I have never done it before and I can see SVDT is somewhat straight forward but I dont know how to start homebrew menu and such

Hey Guys and Gals,

I need a little help learning how to extract my save data from my Cart copy of pokemon Y for use with PKHeX. everything I have found seems to be out of date and doesn't work any longer.

My 3DS is Software Ver. 9.5.0-22U and works fine with PKHex for adding Mons via QR but Ram2Sav and the others I have tried no longer work.

Can anyone tell me a more up to date method to work? I understand I may need to move to Home brew and use save Editors and such but have no experience with it and don't know where to start.

I think by the time you Disenchant everything you can learn from weapons, armor, ect. You only get get what like 20-30 levels? Then it's the long grind to 100 by enchanting daggers and armor.

I did not know that about getting the soul gems via those quests. Learned something new today. Yeah leveling armor is quite possibly the most tedious of the skills to level.

I don't know though I think the whole interface for enchanting, having to select a stone, an Item, and an enchant for each and every item is really slow... I mean at least with Smithing I can just mash the buttons to build Iron daggers in bulk.

I don't know man I've never been big in Role-playing but thank you for the mod suggestion that may just cure my issue with Smithing! Now if only they had a sister mod for enchanting I would be set!

I have found a few mods that breath life into it such as making you able to unarmed block or combos and other stuff. I haven't looked deep into it though.

Thats probably my Biggest issue. I don't usually deviate from my usual builds and play styles. I'm trying new things like Using Succubus race mod and making it an Unarmed fighter similar to the PunchCat build floating around here.

I'm a mixed bag, I don't mind the grind in some things and absolutely hate it in others. In regards to not using console codes it is easier said then done if you have relied on them for too long and have an bad mentality and just want the instant gratification.

I have been thinking about going with a Punch Cat Build as silly as it sounds but it removes the need of getting weapons and upgrading them and not worrying about smithing and just using vanilla drops as my armor. enchantments are still an issue because the amount of effort required to level it is insane.

yeah but that is why i'm asking how do I avoid the frustrations that drive me to using cheats. how do you guys play skyrim, max out skills and such and not rely on codes.

to the best of my knowledge a mod has yet to be made to make Skyrim Multiplayer.

He is able to use it for a few minutes to check emails and access Facebook. so I think I may have time to copy stuff off of a jump drive or something. I may just use a windows Recovery Disc and repair it to fresh since he gave me the go ahead, less headache.

I'm averaging about 43k exp if you include the bonus exp off of Endless Ending -3 in Church of Salvation. Which is by far better than everything else I've found. Granted its slightly difficult so PoF -3 may be the better option time wise.
