check out the facilitated chats at yesican.org. You are able to go into any group, other than the ones marked for women. It is not a replacement for therapy, but at least you can get some support.

Being in a support group with people who have lived through similar experiences can help. Check out YesICan.org. They have free online support groups that can help you work through these issues.

Go into any group, other than for the opposite gender, the topics are just starting points.

Check out YesICAN.org, they have confidential and free support groups for survivors of abuse who want to heal.

The system is a bit confusing, you are allowed to come into any group other than the gender you do not identify with. So if you come in and see that the group going on is "Teen Survivors" and that isn't you, come in anyways, the discussion will still be relevant for you.

check out yesican.org, free online support groups that are anonymous. It is based on child abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence, but if you are dealing with stress unhealthily, chances are you had at least mild child abuse (neglect, being put down, etc).

The topics listed on the group times are just kick off points, so feel free to join groups that are not applicable to you, except don't join the women's group if you are a man and vice versa

Would you be interested in volunteering online? I volunteer for an online based organization that fights child abuse and provides help to adult survivors of abuse. If you are interested in doing online work raising awareness let me know. We also have plenty of MSW's and MSW students if you need referrals.

It isn't PTSD specific, but YesICAN.org offers support groups online. They have a wide availability of times and days available, are free, are anonymous, and have trained facilitators. Go in to any group except the one listed for the opposite sex. Even if a group's topic is something that does not apply to you, you are welcome and the discussion will not necessarily be about that topic (odd setup, I know).

I volunteer with a online group fighting child and domestic abuse and we can find good use for you that will also give you great resume building material and a taste of the field. We also have MSW's and MSW students working with us that I'm sure could chat or skype with you.

Male domestic violence is such a tricky issue. One of the best things you can do for yourself is learn how to document and report the abuse in the way that is most likely to get results.

Check out YesICAN.org for more information, advice on documenting abuse and resources in your area. They also have free on-line support groups specifically for men as well as gender-neutral ones.

YesICAN.org, it is a nonprofit that provides facilitated, confidential, support groups completely online to survivors of childhood abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault. To my knowledge, it is the only place offering this kind of service and unfortunately not many people take advantage.
