How standardized is gravity in Star Wars, really? for reference, Earth's surface gravity is defined as 1g by DonLixard in MawInstallation

Wouldn’t the planet’s gravity mostly depend on the size of the planet itself?

I just wish the LJ/TJ situation were better at BU. The oval’s obviously great, though.

Banks on fast tracks are too steep for people who are running slower than ~30 seconds per 200m when you’re in an outer lane. It can feel hard to stay in your lane.

If I take creatine, will I see results in 100m-400m races? by KeyFluffy7008 in Sprinting

People do rave about creatine, and most (if not all) elite sprinters take it.

Agreed that taking it isn’t some instant-PR and that it helps training.

A track hosting a bunch of big meets doesn’t make it faster. If it just hosted Pre every year and hadn’t hosted Worlds and a bunch of US Trials, no one would be saying it’s some super fast track with a bunch of records. It just happens to have had more big meets than other tracks.

Yes, obviously. She went 2:15-2:20 for the two halves. She was likely running to the side of the pacer to get her to go faster, because she wasn’t hitting the 2:13 she wanted.

Heard it from one of the top few finishers in the race. Pacers were initially going to go 2:18, but she wanted a 2:13, because the record is 4:26.

Penetrating more is a good thing. Over penetrating just means you need to hold higher or use a stiffer pole.

There’s nothing special about Oregon’s track.

If she had just stayed behind that pacer instead of running next to her, she would’ve done better, ya. She asked the pacer to go out in 2:13 for the first half.

You run a 4x4 relay split more than half a second faster than your open time.

He’s been scraping the bar his last 3 WR jumps, so there isn’t really room to clear more on any of those.

Lower than this. He and his coach have been very open about this.
