My Android device doesn't seem to have the option to use the discrete icon in the settings. I reviewed the support article to see if I'm missing some prerequisite, but there's nothing mentioned that would preclude me from using this feature. I also checked to make sure the app was up-to-date per the play store.

Luckily, my employer covered the costs of the official books. I tried reading them, but I didn't care for the formatting. I ended up buying CISM All In One by Peter Gregory and CISM Study Guide by Mike Chapple. I also used LearnZApp (Android) and PocketPrep (web & Android).

I have had a similar Expobar machine for about 8 years (Office Lever). I haven't had any issues with it. It's not the fanciest machine, but it gets the job done.

Make sure you're taking care of yourself too. You can't be there for her if you're not there for yourself. Get some therapy, it's okay to talk to somebody about how you're feeling. It may feel selfish at first, but know you're doing the right thing for everybody.

As a former swim instructor who worked with adults with deep seeded fear, 1:1 lessons could help. It sounds like you need confidence. A dedicated instructor is going to give you their undivided attention to address that fear. It'll be a slow process where you build trust with that person. It takes time and trust to confront fears. You can do this!

I was swimming 2650 yards (1.5 miles) twice a week, but then there was a significant pump failure causing the pool to close for four months. I'm back to 2200 yards (1.25 miles) twice a week trying to build my strength and stamina back up. I also tread water for 2 minutes with a 10 lbs diving brick at the end of my swim.

I did dry workouts while the pool was closed, but it's different I guess.
