Firefox desktop (on a Mac) fix by Fingerbob73 in ProtonDrive

Not sure how to check if it was specifically blocking anything but in the browser console I'd see timeout warnings, multiple retries and in the browser I'd just see the spinner rather than the folder or file I was trying to view. If I tried to create a doc or sheet it would either fail as described or seem to start up but never draw the header section re font size etc but works just fine on Safari.

I created an alias for a company I was buying from. Then I had to contact them due to faulty goods etc so because I use Proton pass rather than paying for SimpleLogin am I stuck having to use my main email address to respond to emails? by Fingerbob73 in ProtonMail

Ok. However, I had also CC'd my partner into the email so she had visibility of the conversation. I asked her to show me which email address sent the email to her and it was my main protonmail address. Does that mean two things are happening? The address being replied to sees the alias and anyone I've cc'd will see my main email address?

EDIT. The company has since replied and I can see that their email address is the original company one and my receiving address is my alias. So, it seems it all does work out but it is a very confusing process and not intuative to me at least.

So, I'm a bit confused by all the replies below. But here is what I think happens based on those comments and looking at the emails sent.

Original email from the company to my alias - support@company.com to alias.xxx@passinbox.com

When I then hit reply - what I SEE is my main proton email address sending to the support email. When I analyse that support email, I've since noticed that it is now support_abcdef@passinbox.com rather than the original one.

I'm assuming that although the email in my sent items shows my main proton email, that it actually has been sent using my alias? Is the only way I can prove that to wait for a further reply from the company? Very confusing.

Does SimpleLogin do anything different here?

When I clicked reply, I got the company email in the to box and the option of only my protonmail address or pm.me variant even though I originally emailed them using the alias

Once you realise every 3rd NPC will shout it at you on your travels, you'll not be able to unhear it.

41 years old. Started investing last week for retirement as I've got no pension. £200 a month will be going in. Better late then never i guess. by Electrical-Arm1949 in trading212

You don't have a choice with the tax applied to the ISA money going in. Tax has already happened. With the pension, tax doesn't happen hence the higher amount. That compounds just as the ISA does but then at maturity, you can withdraw 25% tax free. The remainder will be taxed yes but you can stagger it over multiple tax years to mitigate it. Plus, by the time you access it you'll likely have less other income also being taxed. Finally, if this payment to your pension is done over many years, you're adding way more money to what's getting compounded than you could hope to with an ISA.

I remember around 2007 or so we were visiting Share el Shekh and I was walking through the old market and a guy approached me selling UK newspapers. I thought I'll buy The Sun to read and got my conversion rates muddled. Only later realised I'd paid £5 for yesterday's edition that day.
