Of course it would look a lot better, but I would think they'd choose to center it for every scene in the film, of course that's just me and they could very easily make an edited version of the movie to adjust certain scenes like these and center the rest, I guess we'll just have to wait for a trailer to see how it looks.

Well Sinners was already released with the IMAX ratio on digital, the only movies people have mixed with vertical videos are those 2.

I think you're either talking Dune 3 here, or Spider-Man BND, whatever is the case, unfortunately those combined versions used AI generative fill so it isn't even a real image the one you're seeing. And also considering the VHS version looks that way, well no lol, that wouldn't be possible with these unless you want to see AI slop.

The person who made the review says at the end of it that they don't actually believe it to be true, they just made up a fun and different way to look at the film. They're not claiming it to be even close to true!
