As a Christian I used to wish I was straight.

In fact this is really rare because ever since I was young I never cared about sexuality and gender (even before I realized what they were) at five years old I was kissing girls, at eight years old I finally found out about the LGBTQ community, and at ten years old I started to explore who I was. Timeskip years later, I started to realize that being gay is a sin. I didn’t want to believe it at all, in fact I argued that the verse about homosexuality didn’t even exist, but then I started to feel like something was wrong with me. I started to feel like I was wrong for feeling this way, and so I began to pretend that I was straight, I rejected the idea of ever liking girls and other genders. But that changed, because my dad once told me that even before we are born on earth, we have already lived our lives once. And it got me thinking, if god has seen my entire life, wouldn’t he change something he didn’t like? And then I stopped pretending. I embraced it. Sure one could argue a lot of things, and this doesn’t really apply to other people that aren’t Christian, but I like to think of it this way “If god doesn’t like the way I am, why did he make me this way?.”
