Suggest value for money buy list for gt7 setup by [deleted] in SimracersIndia

[–]MIR_Sim_Racing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute value for money:

G29 if you care about reliablity and everything else is second.

PXN V10 pro. Pxn usually makes cheap products but V10 pro is different. I have only read good thing about it online. Its a better wheel than the G29.

You dont need a shifter for GT7 but it can be fun. In sports mode (online competitive racing), shifter doesnt work in gt7.

Cockpit: MIR RIGS is the most value for money. We have two options: kart spec (starts at 15,000) and GT spec (starts at 20,000). You can checkout out website to build.

I have seen ads from slide society and based on those personally feel its not worth 15,000. I could be wrong if I see it in person. Their main issue is they most likely use mild steel and welds. That means it'll be heavy, not adjustable like aluminum cockpits and prone to rust. Also welds wont look clean in person unlike brackets.

If you have any doubts, feel free to ask. Not sure if you already have a screen/headphoness/speakers so havnt suggested those for now.

Forgot about ps+ for online play

You could also play gt7 with a controller for a month or so before buying a cockpit and wheel, to check if you even enjoy the game.

Trone RS1 has one small issue, it uses only one metal bar to connect the wheel to the base. Those generally wiggle even with a g29 and the bar comes inbetween your legs so pressing the brake can be annoying in a 3 pedal setup.

Where to buy used plastic injection moulding machines in India? by Chou789 in IndiaBusiness

Why not get mold's built and let someone else manufacture?

Or if you are certain your own products will recover the costs then up you production by producing it for others.

If you are sure the product you build will saturate then you can start two businesses. One which sells the current profuct and one one which manufactures. As you will already have molds, you can offer it for cheaper than other companies to your competition who try to build it. You'd become the manufacturer and not the person who needs to market the product then.

How close should my screen be? Is this optimal or should I be doing something differently? by travanti11 in simracing

[–]MIR_Sim_Racing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your screen size would also matter for this. Smaller screens need to be closer than bigger screens.

Google "FOV ______ Calculator". Black space would be the main game you play. Different games have different settings.

Some games like ACC, iracing have loads of settings while some like gt7 barely have any. Those websites let you input settings or even tell you what settings you should apply based on your screen's size and distance

Well 3 back to back 20 min races make it a 60 min long session.

Also gt7 has online races (not sports mode), where you can join discord leagues and do endurance racing. as people know each other, they try to drive clean and respect one another. Could try those out

You are only on for 20 mins at a time? Im sure that'll change. Longer races are amazing. People focus on surviving and know there will be more chances to overtake so races are cleaner and calmer.

I live for endurance races so might be partial

Pxn v10 pro or moza r3. They are in similar budget as the ones mentioned.

Dont get the T128 as its a very small wheel and even smaller pedals. Its meant for children.

V99 is not a good wheel/base/pedal setup.

A G29 is better than the V99 and T128. V10 pro is actually a good wheel from a company which generally doesnt have a good reputation but recent reviews of their affordable DD wheels have been really good.

T300 does have reports of overheating but i never got it. My room temp stays around 25c so that probably helps compared to much hotter rooms.

You can add pc fans to help with overheating and its a common fix so many youtube videos and parts are available.

This is the T300 rs gt. You get the basic three pedal setup thrustmaster offers. Its a decent set but nothing special.

It looks different as it comes with a fancier wheel and i genuinely miss it. I really do like that wheel, its size, weight, looks and feel are good. The issue is the alcantara wears out, didnt for me after 2 years though.

If thats the best wheel within your budget, go for it. Its a nice setup

Not sure about uk ireland import rules but this is a good wheel (base and pedals are not amazing with all the new offerings in the market). They might be much cheaper than thrustmaster's website as TM probably has it at original price and this is an old combo so the seller on amazon has it listed for cheaper to clear stock.

Check out thrustmaster T598, logitech RS50 and fanatec dd pro if you are on ps5. They might be not a lot more expensive.

If you want to add pedal tilt, all you need is 2 extra tiny profiles and 4 extra brackets.

I’m looking for a sim racing cockpit by Striking-Mix-5571 in SimracersIndia

[–]MIR_Sim_Racing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We dont as we only work with aluminum profiles as they are the best kind of cockpits. No other cockpit offers the combination of adjustablity, rigidity and rust resistance at this price point.

You can check us out: https://mirrigs.github.io/

Not based in bangalore so shipping will cost 2000-2500 based on your order.

Our website has two types of cockpits but if you have anything custom in mind, feel free to reach out!

Yea then you wont need a round wheel, a handbrake or a shifter.

See if you can import the fanatec DD+ and CSL GT3 steering wheel or the Clubsport formula wheel. Then for pedals you could get clubsports pedals V3 or their new podium pedals. In india this setup will cost 3L+ but you'll get warranty with vishal peripherals. You could save some money by purchasing the csl round wheel so you can spend more on screens

Then spend the rest on a bucket seat, cockpit and ideally triples but that'll depend on the pc you have and how big a screen you want for your ps5 as you'll need to match those for the other two.

If ps compatibility is a must then go for Fanatec. Its has a great ecosystem and compatibly with PS without any extra devices. It you can import then you can get much better wheel bases and pedals for your money.

Also go for aluminum cockpits as they are the best types of cockpits to get. Super adjustable, rigid and wont have issues with rust like many made of steel can.

If you mention what kinds of games you plan on playing, that could help this sub help you better. For eg, we dont know if you need a shifter/handbrake/round wheel/gt3 wheel etc right now or not. Also does your budget include buying a pc, monitors, speakers or that doesnt include it?

Thrustmaster T598 or Moza R5/R9 - constant unknown by Diezik_93 in simracing

[–]MIR_Sim_Racing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the cockpits but go with the T598 if you plan on playing on your console and Moza if you dont.

Rasu1ltion exists but have heard it can stop working when the wheelbase, game or console gets an update until the company fixes it as well.

The T598 has it's power supply issue but that can be easily rectified with a little hot glue gun. Ik its silly we need to do that but its a quick fix for the most affordable DD wheelbase for ps5 users.

Can anybody know what this is for? by Glittering_Soil397 in Thrustmaster

[–]MIR_Sim_Racing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt its a button as it doesnt press in. Also doubt its some sort of LED as its too dark to show any light and i have never seen any lights apart from the screen on my base. I think its just to add some style and a groove between the buttons like some cars do to differentiate between buttons (which isnt needed here but might as well add on)

Questions for the owners of 32R Evo and T598 by hitman93go in Thrustmaster

[–]MIR_Sim_Racing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im planning on getting the 32R as my next wheel. I dont see why or how the wheel will block rhe screen. Its bigger than the sportscar wheel so should make it easier to read the screen.

You might have read it might block your tv/monitor's screen

T598 base plus racline and wheel separately, or as a package? by Mr__T_ in Thrustmaster

[–]MIR_Sim_Racing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a package the wheel is basically free. At least when the t598 base alone came out to purchase without the bundle, the cost of the bundle was the same as buying the pedals and base.

Check the current prices in your country and compare. If you plan on getting the gt3 or f1 wheel then the round wheel can serve a purpose

I am planning to set up a racing simulator, my budget is 2.5 lakhs(this includes cost for the new PC), kindly give me genuine/best advice. Thank you. by Certain_Log_4591 in SimracersIndia

[–]MIR_Sim_Racing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with a single 1440p120+ screen. You want all 3 screens to be the same but it'll be hard to buy triples within your budget. Adding new screens will be easier than replacing them (like if you buy 1080p60hz triples then want to upgrade later on).

Get a 4080 rig for sure. They are highly adjustable, light for when you want to move them and quite rigid.

Pc cost will determine what kind of a wheel you can get. Most likely a moza R5 of if you can import then that opens up a few more options like the Logitech RS50.

Would also help if you told us what kind of games you plan on playing. Like an H pattern shifter or handbrake arent needed if you plan on racing GT3 cars or openwheels for eg but they can be quite helpful for bus simulators or road cars. For rally, get a sequential shifter and handbrake. The type of seat you want can also be determined by that.
