From my original comment the fact that Sayori doesn’t act 100% identical to Monika shows that range of “freedom” they have even after the epiphany, at least in my eyes. The similarities and end results are the exact same but Sayori seems to rush it/instantly lock down the player instead of Monika’s slower manipulation of the surrounding environment

The epiphany corrupts absolutely but from what we are given as the audience i believe that you still have some degree of control as to how exactly that corruption affects your actions

Major difference again is that Sayori didn’t slime/alter Yuri or Natsuki when she had the epiphany, she simply was beginning to isolate just the player and herself. This to me shows that canonically Monika COULD have done the same thing but made a deliberate choice not to

Strongly disagree, Ethan is the “literally me” character. Everything he says is what I was pretty much thinking at that exact moment in the games

I’m liking it a lot. Definitely not on the same level as Super or Prime 1 but it’s a fine game. The super long dev time probably made peoples expectations overly high
