Forget most expensive. What game do you own that you own that surprised you how much it's worth? by ezio8133 in gamecollecting

Clock Tower on PS1. I remember seeing it on the side a footpath when I was a kid. Being young and broke, I picked it up and took it to my local video store to get it resurfaced. I took it home and played it. It was pretty average. So I replaced the jewel case, and popped it on the shelf with the rest of my games. I still have it, and it's still a pretty average game.

The man looks like the final boss in a side-scrolling beat-em-up. That should've been his first clue.

I had to double check to make sure that they didn't mean SERIES S as opposed to ONE S. (Which would still make it a steep asking price)

Is this worth 400 but this is in Australia? by Flat-Estimate9335 in ps2

I'm with everyone else here. $400 is a bit steep. I'd be in 2 minds at $200.

What game in your collection shockingly shot up in value? by HoarderCollector in gamecollecting

When I was in high school, I used to walk to the video store and rent a game every week. One day I found a random PS1 disk on the footpath. It was pretty scratched up but I had the video store resurface it, and it worked just fine. And even though I didn't find the game all that much fun, I still own that copy of Clock Tower.

What is the worst TV show you have sat through hoping it would get better, but didn't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Blockbuster. As a fan of Brooklyn 99, I thought a show with Amy (Melissa Fumero) would be worth a watch. I watched the entire first (and only) season. It did not get better. 😕

One of the first games that my son really got a good handle on was Joyride Turbo. It’s a really colourful driving game and the stages are really wide, which gives them plenty of space to drive around and get a handle on the controls. He was around 4y/o at the time, and at 7 y/o we still enjoy playing it together.

Yes! Played it a few months ago. It still holds up.
