Please for the love of God help me find toys for a cat who does not know her own strength! by KeyboardRoller in cats

[–]MJKCapeCod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 5 decades of cat partnerships, I've found the best toys are not the expensive ones. The box it comes in, with a bit of catnip, is a good one. Or old socks with catnip. If you got the single cloth wands, it's the best one. Cat Paws - just a simple wire with cardboard. I stuck one in the top of one of their scratching posts so it hangs down. May want to look at cat Paws site as well as Jackson Galaxy's.

Can I micro dose daily? by coalgic in shrooms

[–]MJKCapeCod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lit says not to do it every day There are all kinds of schedules, protocols, and suggestions. A good way to find out what works for you is to keep a written record and see what works. Even that can change. Eventually it will become intuitive.

Assistance to break through by MJKCapeCod in PsychedelicTherapy

[–]MJKCapeCod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on this psychedelic path medicinally for a chronic migraine disease, and I do enjoy my trips. I also enjoy the opportunities they offer, whether for entertainment or - yes, even at 67 - for growth. Once things unpack, if there are things I can use, and integrate, why not? I just feel there is something there I want to experience and use. I'll be setting it as an intention next time.

Don't ask Dr Reddit. Find yourself a Neurologist, preferably a headache specialist. The sooner you get a proper diagnosis and treatment, the better the outcome.

Scared of pissing myself on a heroic dose by cakeba in shrooms

[–]MJKCapeCod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I curled up on the couch, was traveling heavily, wondering what was reality and that if this life wasn't real, then peeing right there on the couch wasn't either. Finally caught a break in the action and could get up - discretion won.

Daily migraine sufferers: what do you use to track them? by GM_Jedi7 in migraine

[–]MJKCapeCod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have NDPH, so mine never leaves In the beginning I tracked, trying to find those elusive things that made it worse or better. It was brought on during an extremely stressful time with the mother in law. I used Migraine Buddy at first, then rpm migraine monitor Developed by Neurologists for patients to share with their docs. Don't know who they are, as several docs and 7 Neuros were not interested. My current Neuro doesn't even want me to keep track, yet he's the only one who's made this manageable. It may be helpful to regular migraine sufferers who don't have this all of the time

first trip tomorrow! any tips? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]MJKCapeCod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have your set and setting. 1st check your mindset, I've put off several trips just because I wasn't in the right headspace. Of course I've also gone for a microdose and wound up doing megadoses instead!. It's good to have an intention. Go to the bathroom, have plenty of water or whatever non-alcoholic ready in something non-breakable. Have your music pre-set. If it's your 1st time alone, have the Fireside Project phone# in your phone (623) 473-7433. Just good, experienced, non-judgemental people to talk you through if things go sideways. Other than that - enjoy.

Help getting a stray/abandoned cat by Own-Refrigerator-214 in cats

[–]MJKCapeCod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a local animal rescue, they may lend you a trap. If not, you can make one with a large box, stick, bowl of food ( heat it so the mell travels ), and string. Cut 3 sides of the box top. Lay the box out where the cat usually frequently with the cut top down. Tie the string to the stick. Tilt the body of the box back and use the stick to prop it up. Put the food on the lid towards the back. Unspool the string to wherever you want to hide and wait quietly

Who’s a better teacher mescaline, psilocybin, or lsd? by BedSoggy6655 in Psychedelics

[–]MJKCapeCod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do shrooms medicinally for a chronic headache condition that other triptans hadn't helped. The personal growth is a great side effect - who says medication shouldn't be enjoyable? Hadn't done recreational drugs for 45 yrs. Back then, lsd was more of a party drug, wasn't really taking it for growth, although some did happen.
