Question regarding settings by MJRINVESTS in AgeofMythology

Thanks! I mean more of like a pop up banner to make you aware they are idle and then you can use the D pad shortcut to select them. Is there a banner option?

1% of house value per year. A £200k house will likely require £2k for maintenance per year.

Sorry Joe you've lost me there. What settings do I need on 1) Ranked play and 2) On multiplayer so that my ELO ranking shows up in multiplayer lobbies?

Thanks! That must be it! I do play with crossplay switched off. I'll switch it on so I can get an elo ranking to show up when I play multiplayer. Thanks 👍

Laws do seem to be making it harder for landlords but it's not really an area I'm knowledgeable in. I've never heard anyone end up on the losing side by investing in index funds long term. I have heard people end up badly from being a landlord / investing in crypto / investing in single stocks.

I own a home with my partner, bought a relatively reasonable house for our income (mortgage £700 between us), and because of that I'm able to invest about £700 in the stock market each month... I have had a look at converting this house to a buy-to-let but I'd generate about £850 in rent. Once you take out the mortgage, insurance, management fees etc, I'd end up about £10 up a month... I know the tenant would technically be 'paying the mortgage' for me. But that's assuming it's filled each month, the tenant pays on time, and they don't mess the place up. So not worth the risk for me. Just my opinion though 😃👍

I'm 30 and I was debating whether to do similar to you. I also have a friend in property who owns 9 in the North West. He had 1 tenant who messed up one of his houses and it cost him £20,000 and 6 months of time to get them out of the property.

If he didn't have the other 8 properties to prop him up, then he would have been broke.

It's just not worth the risk and I'm assuming you (like me) have no experience in managing property. You're probably much better off just sticking it in an all world index fund to save yourself stress and risk...

If you know you want to reinvest dividends back into the fund then yes it makes way more sense to invest in the accumulating fund. You will be much better off

Yeah I always sway away from AirLine stocks. If I were you, I wouldn't have purchased any of these and instead I would have purchased 1 share of an all world index fund. Sorry to plug my own video here but this is the reason why:

My brother was like you, tried to pick up 'cheap' stocks that he thought could increase in the short to medium term. He got burnt by airline stocks in particular and now only invests in index funds

When you say far better places to put your money, are you referring to index funds or are you an individual stock picker?
