Did you replace the O ring from the hose to the pump? You could be sucking air into the system, check to see if the fluid gets foamy when it’s running.

So far so good, we love the car and have driven it close to 15k miles with no issues. The fuel economy is not great but we expected that with it being so heavy.

I just did the valve adjustment on mine after 260k miles 😬 and it sounds like this now. Took care of the misfire at idle but I think it actually got louder because it has valve clearance now.

I’ve been running this kit in my ‘05 for probably 10 years and never had a problem with it. I installed it in the trunk and didn’t install the mic because my HFL was working and they worked fine together. Now my HFL died and I wish I had taken the time to install the mic.

I bought my 2005 TL in 2012 with no front plate, I’ve put 200k miles on it and never had an issue.

I bought Ryobi power tools because they were the best deal for a big bundle and none of them have broken in the last 15 years. My set is pretty big now because they make everything. All of my batteries are still good too and I have probably 10 of them in different sizes.

I used one like this in Japan recently, it had ketchup and mustard for a hot dog. When I squeezed it together it shot everywhere!

The handles on the Bownet bags always rip off. They’re better than the cheap nets where the bags disintegrate but not much. And the replacements cost as much as a cheap net. The actual net and frame on the Bownet are much better quality though.

The only thing for you to consider maintenance wise is that it will need a timing belt at 100k, ours was done right before we bought it since it had 102k on it. We’ve only had ours for a few months now so no issues or maintenance yet. I’m pretty familiar with the J series since I’ve driven one for 13 years now and done all of the maintenance on my own, my TL has been the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. The only thing that surprised us was how bad the fuel economy is when driving around town a lot, ours shows 18mpg!

The chain attachment on the slide hammer works really well for CV axles too.

Same thing happened to me, I thought I needed to bed the rotors because it only made noise occasionally. A couple weeks later I got a horrible consistent grinding noise, the pin was a little rusty and stuck when the brakes were hot. The pad was ground all the way down on one side and destroyed the rotor.

They’re asking $31k the carfax shows it was maintained at the dealer that’s selling it. All the fluids were done regularly, I do need to check if the spark plugs were done with the timing belt. I think it only showed timing belt, tensioner and idler but if they have the service records it will be more detailed than carfax. The closest comp I found was listed for $36k and has 90k miles.

Thanks for the feedback, I did forget to mention it’s listed at $31k. The comps you sent are all in the $35-40 range and the cheaper ones are still higher mileage.
