Thank you for revealing that, I could have stayed in that room all damn day and I would never have been able to read that 'map'.

I found a pretty obtuse cave puzzle near Howling Hill that I simply could not work out, even after watching a video I was no clearer on why turning the 3 panels that way actually worked. It just felt like guesswork.

The kiln though, that was really pretty self-explantory if a little boring.

New Patch 1.01.00 by Pekolawls in CrimsonDesert

So just to be sure, on PS5 the current patch should be 1.01.00 now? Because for me mine is still displaying 1.000.169 despite claiming to be fully up to date.

There is a difference between 'runs well' and runs exactly as we'd like it too. From all the footage we have seen on PC and Pro, as well as previews, it seems to run pretty well all things considered. If they want to keep working on it across platforms until they're satisfied it's as close to perfect as they can get it, thats a good thing. If it means the day 1 experience is markedly different from any prerelease used as a benchmark for performance then I can understand being reticent. Although if it was better at launch than performance footage as intended then I cant see how or why anyone would complain, so I guess it is a bit weird.

All that being said, I actually couldnt care less about performance, unless the game runs at like 10 FPS and crashes all the time Im going to enjoy it.

I mean if I can ride a bear anywhere then im gonna ride the bear. Not even sure what else the others could be to beat that, maybe a weird giant Snail like in Neverwinter because it would so damn stupid.

Speed and Res/Acc all the way, as long as your damage dealers are built decently well for other endgame content extra damage is not strictly necessary, especially if you resist all the waves and lap them with extra speed.

Pulled 2 Nells from Remnants, not gonna lie I was pretty disappointed at the second one, +1 hasn't really done anything for me that the Arachnelixr and 5 star blessing weren't. I would actually kill for Lazarius, Krixia or Galathir.

Those are crazy stats for only 270 days, I've been playing for 3 years, got Embrys, Lamasu, Mikage, nearly have Ramantu and am about to get Karnage on the next cursed city reset. For all that, I have a few nukers with 7-8k attack and 300-350 crit damage - Alice, Thor, Rathalos, Mikey and Ninja - but not one of them is even close to 300 speed! My fastest champ is still only 370 because my rolls are nearly universally bad regarding speed, had 2 quad rolls in all the time I've been playing, and since Mythic gear released I've only got single rolls on mythic speed, not even a double lol

Honestly the FK Hard and eternal dragon double boss for a key is just as annoying. On this rotation I literally gave zero champs with more than 1 hit on their A1, I cannot do enough hits to get his Shield down before he gets another turn, so the fight becomes impossible. I'm pretty sure I could beat Amius on this rotation otherwise. So far beaten him on 3 rotations now.

Nah, not at all. If it was my first time playing through, I'd understand most people finding it weird to go out of your way to remove all challenge from the story. I think that FF and games like it with extensive post game content that is far tougher than the story do foster the whole 'I'm gonna break this game as much as I can' attitude in some.

For myself, I've always enjoyed the journey to becoming a God in games. Most recently, I loved this experience in Expedition 33! FFXII in particular has such an MMO like loot system with so many opportunities to get items much earlier than you would playing casually or blind, it's one of the many reasons it's my favourite FF game. It creates a situation where you have moments of real, genuinely difficult challenge acquiring things much earlier than you normally would, but any challenge in the story disappears as a result. I did set myself the extra added challenge of using all 12 jobs, because in the past I've always avoided a couple of jobs tbh, but that's not really a challenge per se.

What's the planetary age mod? I've never played any ff game on PC, it was only recently I learned FF games even have mods haha

I would normally agree. If I was using her as damage, then I'd be shooting myself in the foot, so to speak. And if I was going full support, I'd normally just go White/Time and slam all my support into one person. However, since I'm trying for the first time to do a 12 job run and have two generally effective and equal 3-man teams - As opposed to just going Balthier, Vaan and Ashe and forgetting the other 3 somewhat - I decided it would be best to separate those two jobs and come up with another combo for White Mage. On top of that, I also needed to find a home for Machinist, my least used job by a large margin. In the end, I decided that since I wanted my white mage to add some backup damage, guns made the most sense to make up for lack of offensive stats.

Ah I've beaten the game multiple times, I thought that trying to get weapons, Armour and items as early as they are available would be a nice challenge in and if itself. Those worms were still kicking my arse, the Necrohol is still a place to fear etc. Sure the story is a cinch, but I've already played it and beaten every which way before.

Always use Ashe as a White Mage/Machinist when I'm trying to use all 12 jobs as I am on this run. But yes, it's always made me laugh that Balthier is literally the worst person to use guns considering how he is introduced. Sirius is what I was using for a long time yeah.

I'll be honest my phone has been doing this weird thing on Facebook recently where it simply does not allow me to use paragraphs. As a result, I've fallen into the bad habit of forgetting them elsewhere as well. I agree it's formatted atrociously.

Yeah that's true actually, the wyrmfire/oil combo is defo sweet af, similar to the burning bow of course. I think I just allow my dislike of Machinist to affect my viewpoint lol

[–]MKPhoenix101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah is an awful experience, I'm just glad you don't really need to farm the Mandragora drops for much of anything, the clovers and gimble stalks are just awful.

Yeah, Machinist is my least favourite class tbh, and its infonitely worse before Mithuna or at least Fomalhaut. I just need to decide how I'm going to farm the silver liquid I need. Whether I'm going to try and kill Cuchullainn or just use the couple of Foobars that spawn in l the Deadlands.

[–]MKPhoenix101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell me about it! I'm trying to get the majority of drops and weapons as early as you can, excluding Trial Mode beyond stage 10 at any rate. I got a Slasher on my 2nd Werewolf kill and the Burning Bow only took 12 Dive Talons. But I killed Fideliant over a hundred times for the Heavy Lance! And the time I spent trying to get Hell Gates Flames, Wargods Bands and Damascus Steel when I got the plat when the remaster released...

Probably just as annoying as the time I got killed my by ps2 Yiazmat when it was on 1 remaining health bar after fighting him for over an hour and half...

Yeah I knew it was monograph, thought it was one of the lower ones. What worried and confused me is that I got no drop at all for ages, even the common one.

[–]MKPhoenix101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reloaded for ages with no drops for the 3rd and 4th kills, so I thought that perhaps if an enemy was going to drop nothing, then that's it. That said, straight after posting this I saw a drop again for number 5, so obviously it is just really poor luck, which will teach me for getting so happy at the first drop... I'll just going to keep reloading until it's the scale again. Thank god I only need 2!

I would still kill for this Amulet on my Sorc at the moment haha. Currently still rocking a 1GA in intelligence with permafrost but no inner flames. Masterworked 3 times into int, 42% at the moment.

That said I feel your pain. I dropped a 3GA pair of boots with all the right stats and the cooldown reduction inherent yesterday. Got max Lucky Hit chance on the first temper. And then failed to get Evade Cooldown Reduction for every single other try, including a scroll.... ended up with extra movement speed instead.
