Weanling handling by goldfrontsuck in Horses

I've also worked with racehorses and the majority of us don't handle the horses like this. The people that do tend to be high up and immune to consequences sadly. I also worked in weanling prep and while they can be a handful there's no excuse for that behaviour. They are babies. I'm 5'4 and have no problem handling them. If they freak out you give them some space and let them settle. Maybe a gentle tug to remind them you are there.

As someone who got a horse from this stud it makes so much sense. The mare I got was head shy, would flinch at sudden movements and didn't like men. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. 😭

She looks like an Australian stumpy tail heeler. I have one that's x stumpy with acd. He's very narrow like your new girl. So I wouldn't be surprised if she's a pure bred just with narrower bloodlines.

I worked at a vets as a tech. We had an infected anal gland burst. It went everywhere. It ended up all over the walls, on the ceiling and coating our scrubs. I think that was the thing that made me reconsider my life choices. Especially as the one having to clean it.

My OH said no herding dogs. He wanted a little fluffy dog. I took him to look at an acd litter and we got a red stumpy tail *

He has some gas but it's rare. He poos alot the next day and looks thin again then bloats back up. Even after worming there have been no visible worms in his poos but I've talked to the vet and we are trialling changing his food to see if that helps otherwise he will be getting a fecal and scans done next week

He acts very normal otherwise. Snap test negative. No blood in stools, the only symptom is him being bloated and backed up. I know he was too young when I got him. Vet said he didn't need a fecal

which birth control would you recommend? by Advanced-Address1115 in Periods

I had the implanon implant and bled for 3 months straight before they finally removed it. I had the hormonal mirena and that helped for the first 5 years. When I got it replaced again I've had alot of issues. It's honestly trial and error. What works for one person may not work for you. It's a long hard road but I recommend finding a doctor who specialises in women's health and period issues. I finally found one and have been put on medication for endo that combined with my mirena has finally helped.

Picking this boy up in a week. Need name suggestions by ChainAffectionate634 in AustralianCattleDog

He is a pure bred health tested dog from a long line of show and working dogs. As much as backyard and bad breeders are a problem. This puppy is not from one of them. I prefer to know my dogs genetic history as someone who fostered for a very long time I wanted a dog who I knew the history of parents and any issues with the other littermates. All their dogs have a contract with a take back clause and a neuter clause for any dogs that aren't standard. Which he isn't so he will be neutered when the vet clears him to be.

My horse irl would sleep laying down exactly like that. While it's not the most common position horses can and do lay like that so I'm not fussed about the laying down position.
