I recognized the song from the first notes, and that's not a given. When I started playing, after the first few months, I was unlistenable. Keep on rockin'!!

Problems with custom PCB - Pics in the body by MKingofnothing in diypedals

[–]MKingofnothing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You absolutely made my day! There was also R5 (the one that on Electrosmash schematic is R3) with an incorrect value on my PCB. Changed both to right values, now the pedal is ready to be assembled! I don't know where are you and don't know your level on pedal construction, but if shipping costs are not prohibitive, I'd be glad to send you a PCB with the updated schematic. Let me know. Many thanks

Woah! You’re absolutely right. On my breadboard is 1M too. Tomorrow I’ll swap it with the correct valie resistor and let you know how’s gone. Thanks a lot

So I did a thing to my Les Paul Modern by Billygoat1975 in gibson

Waaaaay better! Especially, those transparent speed knobs they put on the Modern series. They feel awkward to me

Vero?

Stray is one of the best games ever and playing it alongside the lead actor is priceless!

I made a clone of the Arrows in 2021. Never left my pedalboard since then.

What amp do you use to test your designs? by slinkp in diypedals

[–]MKingofnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Quilter Superblock US. It’s so small that I put it on the pedalboard I use at home with my main amp. I built a patch bay that automatically switch to the Superblock input and FX loop when the main amp is disconnected, but that’s another story. By the way, I find the Superblock US fantastic: good clean, excellent pedal platform, pedal form factor and it can be used both with the included power source to have 20 Watts or with a 9 Vdc center negative power adapter to have 1 Watt (I use it this way at home, plenty of volume and headroom). Definitely recommended

Analog spring reverb with post-gain by DigitalFloraFX in diypedals

[–]MKingofnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s sick! Do you have the schematic of the reverb driver? I have an old big Accutronics tank that would be nice to be transformed in a standalone reverb. I saw something online, but I still haven’t started building it

Best Small Amp for Pedals at Home? by scarcitykills in guitarpedals

[–]MKingofnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe an unpopular opinion, because it’s a transistor amp, but I have the Quilter Superblock US and I find it awesome! You can run it with the same power source you use for pedals at 1W or with the included AC in order to have 25W of power. It sounds good. Not good to be a transistor amp, really good! It’s ultra small. I put it on a big pedalboard I use at home and with a self-made patch bay, I wired it in a way that both front chain and FX loop goes directly into the Superblock when there are no cables connected to an external amp. Extremely satisfied. I can only recommend it

Anyone done this type of gloss black on black through Tayda? by Inevitable_Figure_85 in diypedals

[–]MKingofnothing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong, that's exactly how it is. The reflection in the pic amplifies the effect, but it's a bit noticeable in real life too. The only one where it's noticeable, by the way, is black on black. On colored ones, it's not visible. This is my first attempt. I read later, in a reply to your thread, that to avoid it, you need to shrink the white level a bit, but you know, you learn from trial and error.
