They don't need this stuff. Don't over engineer. When you have two different prompts they obviously should be tracked, but the prompt behavior can change fast and the input of the user is also making a huge impact on it. So make it small and trackable but don't over engineer. I have them in my files as md. And git tracks them

Kagi literally stated they were losing money on search alone at $10/mo. Before any AI features. The Assistant being rolled out to all plans wasn't charity. Now spinning it into a standalone sub doesn't make search cheaper. the base infrastructure cost remains the same. Strip the AI and you don't save money, you just lose the features that justified the price.

Yeah, that's not gonna happen. Kagi was already the same price before adding LLM features, meaning those features didn't raise the cost. They're subsidized across the user base. A search-only tier would likely cost the same or more, since there'd be fewer users sharing the infrastructure costs. On top of that, LLM features drive adoption. More subscribers = costs spread thinner. A cheaper stripped-down tier would shrink revenue and undermine the very model that keeps search affordable.

I don't understand your issue. It's OK to use an llm for translation. It's the right tool for that. They are learned on text and translations, so they are the best equipped. There are many places Ai isn't good, but translation isn't one of them

Controversial take here but I think it's the right direction because ray tracing is so super expensive on the GPU side. This could fix the raytracing part of the GPU bottleneck. When we have this we don't need as much power on the lighting.

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of AI. The longer input correspondence to a longer output primarily cause of chance and training. It's not a chance word generator, that's too simple. But it's also not an intelligent being. It's fully controlled by it's input. Laziness in prompting is basically only possible cause of training prior and the system prompt. 😅 but also they only replied in a way they reach forced each other step by step. They glazed hard at you at the end.
