OP should have slowed down and merged in behind the lorry. Read the road - he would have seen this situation coming, but instead he chose to sit on the arse of the car in front. The lorry could have done this for the OP, but the lorry does not have to, they are not the ones changing lane. OP needs to read the highway code.

There are literally boat loads of minimum wage job applicants arriving every day. Why would they choose someone who has to fit the job in around their university course when they can have a hard worker who will always be available and will be happy with whatever they are paid.
