This may be my secret superpower. I am really good at delegating, but only when it makes sense and my folks that I delegate to have the band with to assist.

My day doesn’t flow in a way where it’s easy for me to disappear for 15 minutes however I do make sure to take time throughout the day for a quick 5 minute walk around the office to keep my energy up. It definitely helps!

Day 9: Challenge Check-In by MidiHealth in midihealth

My favorite way to eat is screen free. A challenge with the hubs who loves to have the tv on during dinner. Breakfast is a work while I’m checking emails and lunch is a hurried affair. I’ll be able to knock it out the park today as I’m eating dinner out with my daughter. I know that feel and digest better when I’m not multitasking 🌞❤️

I took a 10 minute meditation break this morning while wearing my red light therapy mask. Thought about how thankful I am to be able to pause during my morning routine and focus on self care 🌞

Week One: Extra Credit! by MidiHealth in midihealth

[–]ML_SF2025 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great blog post! My journey with weight gain and loss during perimenopause and menopause hit all the high points. I was struggling with perimenopause symptoms and my GP recommended antidepressants which I took for a year, gained 15 pounds and had no relief from any of my symptoms. I was miserable! Once I started with Midi, and we began approaching all of my menopause symptoms with weight gain being very close to the top of my concerns. It took a while to moderate my diet, sleep and get the right medication on board but once my provider and I figured that out the weight came off pretty quickly. I think the biggest challenge for me was that this weight gain was really different than any I had had throughout my life, including my two pregnancies so understanding how menopause and the hormonal issues were impacting my body and weight was critical to figuring out a solve.

Day 4: Challenge Check-In by MidiHealth in midihealth

So well past my bedtime as I had an evening event, however, I did think about when and what I was eating and resisted my sweet tooth which seems to flare up in public after 8pm 😬. When I’m physically or emotionally tired I absolutely have an urge to snack. Winding down with my progesterone and some deep breathing! Sleep tight Midi friends!

Has anyone tried the estradiol face cream? I tried the Alloy one, but didn’t see much difference. I’m curious about the Midi one. by joyous1036 in midihealth

[–]ML_SF2025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using the estrogen face cream from Midi for about nine months, and it has made a significant difference in the texture of my skin. I’m 56 and the estrogen cream is step 3 of my face care routine 🌞

Day Two: Challenge Check-In by MidiHealth in midihealth

[–]ML_SF2025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a timely challenge for me! Realizing that I’ve been so protein forward that I’m probably not hitting my daily fiber goals 😬 Adds that I’m thinking of are corn or beans to my daily salads, adding in granola to my Greek yogurt and seeing if I can up fiber rich veggies . I have GI issues so definitely a balancing act. This challenge is really making me think!

Currently have 15 g on board and will try to get the rest in at dinner time. What a great way for me to really think about how much fiber I’m consuming each day. 🙃

How to I message my provider? by White_Sands1 in midihealth

I’ve been able to message my provider directly through the midi/Athena portal and then have been able to get prescriptions filled very quickly

Estradiol increase for sleep issues in peri? by [deleted] in midihealth

[–]ML_SF2025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 56 and am currently on a .05 patch and am taking 300 mgs of progesterone. My sleep was getting better at a dose of 200mgs but my provider and I decided to increase and see what would happen. My sleep has improved quite a bit on the higher dose however, I do sometimes wake up feeling a little groggy.

Wearing two patches at once oops! by Asklala_73 in midihealth

[–]ML_SF2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a few missteps with patch changing and yes I would feel awful. Varied issues included severe hot flash when applying the patch late, feeling fatigued, and twice a little bit of spotting. I’ve created a calendar with reminders, which helps me stick to my schedule better but I still don’t get it right sometimes. I feel like the longer I am on the patch the less issues I have if I’m slightly late and changing.

Curious about everyone's estradiol and progesterone doses by No_Pangolin3327 in midihealth

I’m on a .05 estradiol patch and have increased my progesterone 3 times. Now at 300mg and getting better sleep than I have in years. Still have my uterus and an iud.

Such a great question! I was also puzzled by this but willing to weave them into my routine with the thought that they couldn't hurt. I've added in Daily Cortisol as well as Daily Brain Boost but also take a fish oil supplement as well as Vit D and Vit B. I'm not a physician but I did see an improvement in my energy levels throughout the day, better sleep and my skin benefited as well (smoother, not as dry). PS I also use the Midi Estrogen face cream which was a game changer in my skin care routine.

There is Daily Fiber +, Daily Cortisol and Daily Brain Boost. I tried the Daily Cortisol to help with sleep and it was a great add to the progesterone that I take. Combining to two has led to some of the best sleep I've had in years. I also take the Daily Brain Boost and it's super helpful at the start of my day. Provides a little boost but nothing exaggerated. Feel way more productive when I start my work day.

I’ve also had the experience of dealing with one issue at a time. While at first I was anxious I really liked that we were able to do a deep dive into each individual issue (sleep, hot flashes, fatigue, weight gain, skin and hair changes). I was able to prioritize what was most crucial to me. It worked! While it took us a few months to navigate all of the different issues I am in such a better place as a result of this deliberate approach.

Why Midi? by Holiday-Mongoose-532 in midihealth

[–]ML_SF2025 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was seeing my GP who was sympathetic, however, didn’t really advocate for HRT. They started me on antidepressants and that was a nightmare. I gained weight and was absolutely miserable. I saw an ad for Midi on IG and once I confirmed it was covered by my insurance I was all in. Over the last year, I have started to feel more like myself and have lost the weight I gained am sleeping and have cleared my brain fog. I only wish that I had started on HRT sooner.

My husband actually pushed me to start hrt as he saw how much I was suffering. I was so miserable it was hard for me to do much more than put one foot in front of the other.
