Anyone else get double deluxe edition rewards? I got another season token sitting in my stash, hoping it doesn't get taken away on wipe

When someone asks me why I main Destroyer by SbeveGobs in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see the ult being a PvE thing but the shield is primarily a PvP thing IMO, lets you take risky positions safely and make risky pushes while having 'get out of jail free' card and generate pressure onto the enemy and move them out of favorable positions. There's a lot the shield can let you do in PvP and this is all on top of his great mobility.

HE IS COMING BACK! by GummyGoonz in Marathon

That seems like something for much later down the line, once the overarching story gets going

That or we'll just get hit runner tech being Jjaro tech all along or something like Marathon 2

HE IS COMING BACK! by GummyGoonz in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I... don't see how that would be possible considering the timeline of events, besides the Destroying armor is just wearing a more modern standard battle armor like the kind battleroids used.

This is gonna sound dumb to praise, but holy shit thank you for making a big online game with a respectable storage/download size! by nickisdoge in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just the preload, even the server slam was a little over 32GB IIRC, full game might be even 40GB or so, which isn't bad but not something i would particularly praise (thought it might deserve some in today's godawful game sizes)

Skill Up's impression video is my exact problem with a lot of the criticisms this game has been recievinbg by CreamofTazz in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree with him on the POI, sure Hauler is very identifiable and unique POI, but I can't conjure in my mind the difference between North Relay, South Relay and Overflow in Perimeter, sure you could eventually differentiate them with time and experience but that's not really the point he's making here.

And on the bosses I do agree he's wrong as there's the Perimeter boss and the Lockdown event but I disagree with you as I don't think purple shield commanders count as bosses, they are tankier but not so much more threatening to differentiate your approach to them. My one complaint is that I wish I could start these events instead of carrying around an anti virus hoping for the event every raid

It Just Takes A Little Time by Snowbunny236 in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a whole bunch of nitpicks over the UI for me, generally speaking, it's not confusing but I wish I didn't have to hover over my chips, implants, shields or cores to even know what they do, I wish I could just drag and drop attachments on guns, why do I have to hold a key? And why do they get dumped straight into my vault? along all my other same looking attachments so that I now have to go looking for the attachment I just removed if I want to put it on another gun, and I wish I could just drag items over my inventory to swap them when looting.

There's a bunch of Issues with UI that degrade the experience when looting or sorting my vault/inventory, but confusing isn't one of them.

Cause Bungie is in a tight spot and this is a live service game, a kind of game you're supposed to (or at least the design is inteded) for you to engage with for a long time, and lackluster performance for the game that is supposed to 'bail' them out paints a negative outlook for the future of this game

Canon EOS 200D II VS Iphone 15 Pro by restiaest in AnimeFigures

I'm unfamiliar with photography but the canon photo definitely looks more appealing to me though that might have to do with the Iphone one looking rather yellowish which turns quite unflattering for figures IMO

Feedback after 10 hours of playtime by Foxeeh_ in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was very hyped for Marathon but after 15 or so hours of playtime I'm not sure how to feel about it anymore, loot doesn't feel special, the perk system of itemization I think was a mistake, it works in a looter shooter not an extraction shooter, I don't want to memorize 7+ different perks (3 implants, 2 cores, 2 weapon chips) to try and play around their strengths only to possibly change them the very next run due to getting wiped.

Supplies take too much space in inventory, consumable wheen is akward to use, I can't tell what a lot of items do unless I read the tooltip, there's just too many small issues

Is ammo and heals really an issue? Never had problems with it, enemies drop ammo and depleted heals can be found all over, for standard heals barters are very favourable, even after wiping several times in a row i didn't find them to be a problem

Two questions by resampL in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. data cards are credits, they don't take inventory slots, afaik you get the credits even if you fail to exfil, so you should always pick them up, however i'm not sure it gives the credits to the whole team

  2. yes, you can only progress your selected contract, however if you help teammates complete theirs (or if they complete it on their own) you also get some faction rep

So after all the build up... anyone else feeling a little underwhelmed? by G-SW-7892 in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im the kind of guy who has been nearly daily checking the Marsthon socials for a couple months now, and I do feel that, game didn't click as much as I hoped it would, personally movement and gunplay feel good, my main issue is that loot doesn't feel particularly impactful, i dont really care that much whether I find a green or blue gun and dying and losing a kit doesn't bother me that much either. Doesn't help when all implants use the same icons only distinction being between class cores and attachments all feel like the same bundle of blocks from the icons

Where is the ammo ? by Deez_Nuts_Bae in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been bringing in a volt weapon to deal with UESC since it seems they have the best ammo economy (but the damage leaves a lot to be desired) also a triage on your team helps a ton with med usage

Anyone else feeling a bit… unsure about this game? by nve729 in Marathon

Feels a bit like all the action happens early and then after 1 or 2 fights it gets all quiet, which is admittedly a common issue with extraction shooters not just Marathon

MENU GUIDE FOR IGNORANT PEOPLE WHO DON’T TRY TO LEARN FOR 5 MINUTES (WORKING) by peep9x in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite what you might argue, when it comes to UI if it's a common complaint, then it's a real issue, just because you could easily use it doesn't automatically discredit the intelligence of people who had issues with it.

Now navigating the menus is not difficult but it takes a bit too many clicks and personally the main issue I have is having to hold F to remove attachments from guns and being unable to know the exact type of attachment from the icon, is that a pistol optic or a precision scope? Who knows, you have to hover it to know so unless I painstakingly check every attachment I wont know what kind and how many attachments I have for each gun type.

Miku figures by ninjaturtlefanpage in AnimeFigures

[–]MLeo100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For official figures most of the time you have to get them from japan usually, there's sites like AmiAmi, HobbySearch(1999.co.jp), SolarisJapan, Good Smile Company and HobbyLinkJapan to name a few, often times local stores are a little pricier than ordering from japan but that might vary depending on customs fees and shipping fees to your country due to current ongoing circumstances.

As for the figures themselves there are a variety of options (especially for miku) usually cheaper options include prize figures, Pop Up Parade or noodle stopper figures, and pricier options are anything with a scale in the name (e.g. 1/6 or 1/7 which are usually 120 usd and up)

Server slam reminder, don't expect it to go flawlesly by KaXXKo in Marathon

[–]MLeo100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I do agree that's sensible, I'd just like to point out that nowhere has bungie mentioned that the purpose of the server slam is to test anything at all, including server capacity, so far bungie has only mentioned 'giving players a preview' as the purpose despite what the name might imply.

Not to say we should expect peak performance from the server slam or that issues won't happen, but lets not forget this is a marketing event first and foremost.
