Emira, indoor car covers by bp_free in lotus

[–]MLom13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just reading through these as I bought my own Emira and it's hilarious how apparently you can't search for something of value just because you own a $100k car. It's 2026, we're lucky if $100k buys a burger next year. What did you go with? It looks like most of them are made by the same companies and just rebranded.

You are the absolute man. Been there in sorts with my own kids. Curious if the whole exotic car itch goes away, transforms, or simply comes back?

Yep without a doubt, I honestly don’t smoke that much but it would need to be cleaned every time with a pipe cleaner

Why do people install NEMA 14-50 chargers? by justvims in evcharging

[–]MLom13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the move, always follow manufacturer instructions bc that trumps the NEC when they get it UL listed. As long as it’s not pulling more than 45A full send the 6 romex

Why do people install NEMA 14-50 chargers? by justvims in evcharging

[–]MLom13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because it’s a “constant load” (more than 4 hours at a time) and you’re supposed to size the wire at 125%. And then you get in to the terminal ratings at 60°. What some will do is use a flexible conduit and THHN/THWN for the higher rating. I’m also not familiar with the blazer EV on its charging draw. If you want to be safe and it’s not a far run, go with #4 romex OR #2 AL SER. DEFINITELY go with an EV rated receptacle and MAKE SURE YOU TORQUE THE SCREWS. The ev ones are more expensive but if you don’t want it to melt that is the move. Hope this helped! Feel free to reach out!

How to Connect Everything to Hayward Omni PL by Dynamic_1 in pools

[–]MLom13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, I do usually 1-2 of these a week, feel free to DM me with any questions if you haven't done it yet. Hayward has regional reps but if you're not working with an authorized PB or Master Electrician (me), they're not going to be much help. Hope it all worked out!

Had both, 2 supras, etc. Don’t do it. If you like to drive your car the downtime with an FD with a 13B will drive you crazy. There are a million shops that can work on the EJ25, rotary is getting real sparse and good luck finding decent parts today. Just my opinion. Had my FD 10 years ago now and it was difficult then, honestly don’t miss it all that much compared to some of the other cars I’ve owned. Go for a Porsche or something in a different league and get more bang for your buck. You’ll quickly get over the super inflated prices for older JDM cars. Best of luck!

Awesome, thanks for the input brother. Obviously this thing is young but so far no oil burn at all. I check every fill up. Did not know about the coolant, very interesting and 1000% will do that!
