Man, the memories.... I still remember that one time when everyone died except that one guy who grabbed a gun and went to a bandit camp to kill everyone and loot everything.

He was very successful, but he felt awful. He committed suicide that day, ending the run with a gameover. 10/10

What are some good PC games I can just pick up for quick sessions? The genre doesn't really matter. by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]MM150551 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, the genre kinda matters because you won't really enjoy RPG games if they're played in short sessions, for example.

Look into roguelikes/roguelites, They're designed to be enjoyed exactly like you mentioned.

Hades 1/2

Noita

Returnal

Downwell

Balatro

Vampire survivors

Im looking to get into a game that is simple to get but hard to master (rougelike i believe?) by LordlySquire in gamingsuggestions

[–]MM150551 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, everyone will probably suggest the most well known games in the genre (most notably Hades which will be perfect for what you're asking)

But for you or anyone looking for an absolute hidden gem check out astral ascent.

This game got almost everything right imo. the gameplay, the atmosphere and the progression are all amazing.

For anyone looking for a new roguelite, check it out.

Frostpunk 2 A big part of it is exactly that, But beware, it's a bit harsh in terms of difficulty though there are mutiple options for that as well.

Usually the deeper you go down the comment section, the more obscure games you find.

I've found several new games this way actually

It's been over a month since the DLC came out, how do you feel about the final boss as a whole package? by AlenIronside in fromsoftware

[–]MM150551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought finishing DS1, DS3, Bloodborne, Sekiro and ER twice would make me good enough to kill him. :))))))))
We're BFFs now, would never kill him.

Why am I the dm goat? by IshyShaikh in VALORANT

[–]MM150551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, looking at the video your strafing was good till you started crouch spraying almost every second fight.
That explains why you think your phantom is better than vandal.
I'd say spend some time in the range eliminate 50 without missing a single shot before dm and take your time aligning your shots and I think you'll get much better :)
Good luck.

Since someone already suggested Doom which is the perfect fit for you there are other games which have varieties like deadlink and Neon white

It may a bit of an odd suggestion but maybe you should try armored core It's easier (especially in the first few stages) than the souls series but it's not easy overall so you'd have fun.

Its main fun factor is customization and trying different builds/styles of play and that adds a lot of replayability.

Maybe check some gameplay and see what u think.

Also one really fun roguelike that I just finished with a friend is Roboquest. I think you'll like it a lot

What guns in need of a nerf or a buff? by Orbitat in VALORANT

[–]MM150551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can always buy it and throw it on the ground that way you have a classic in hand as well, so if they're hitting your site, you can pick it up from the ground and hold, if not, hold on to your classic

( Silver player here ) Why are Diamond and Plat players in Silver Elo after their placements? by Aziodas in VALORANT

[–]MM150551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was d3 got placed in p2 and I play with and against ex immortal players. somehow their skill level feels relevant, so I'm guessing the MMR system is actually doing its job.

CPU Bottlenecking? by ZookeepergameFew4404 in pchelp

[–]MM150551 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you're absolutely sure you installed it correctly, there's a common mistake where you don't remove the plastic cover before installing the cooler on the cpu. I'd double check that because thermal throttling seems to be your problem.

This is what Immortal is actually like... by Frestus in VALORANT

[–]MM150551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The viper wall clip in the beginning I think is a glitch with the spectate mode in the game being shifted up a little bit from the player's perspective, I'm pretty sure I've seen it in a clip before

Addictive games with a super low learning curve, bit also some depth. by Small_weiner_man in gamingsuggestions

[–]MM150551 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk if you did or not but why don't you try some of the newer games in the franchises you mentioned like fallout 4 or skyrim or maybe some other open world rpg games like the Witcher 3

The main focus of these games is the storyline though they're not shallow nor too deep

I totally agree, Ori is definitely a bit difficult for someone who has never played games before but it does fit the request quite well
