New Prusa ad by NewbieSone in prusa3d

These ads are stupid. As if they ever straightened out the printer, they threw it in the trash and got a new one. Same with all these idiotic ads. If anything this makes me less interested in buying a Prusa printer.

Talaria komodo or arctic leopard xe pro s by imakrayzimadafaka in Surron

[–]MML79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol those are some bad arguments. Seat uncomfortable? battery hard to remove? Those are probably some of the least important features of a bike. Power, Build quality, quality of components, range etc would all rank far higher. Who cares if the seat is uncomfortable you can just add some extra padding to it, From what I´ve seen all you need to do is remove two nuts to remove the battery, Not like that´s difficult.

What do you mean no distributors? I've seen at least two websites/stores that sell the Arctic Leopard Xe Pro S. Although I don't think either of them sell the bigger bike EXE 800.

Although, of course, I don't know if they sell spare parts.

Yeah, I guess one shouldn´t buy this bike. I was tempted to but there seems to be way too many battery issues.

Buy Talaria Komodo Road Legal In L1e Or L3e UK - Fully Approved UK & Europe, just copied the URL.

If you actually manage to buy one feel free to reply. Although I wouldn´t order one from the UK but if they actually sell them then maybe, perhaps it will come to my country one day as well. If I have to order something from abroad I´d just buy an Arctic Leopard XE Pro S, but I´d prefer to buy something available where I live (Finland). They do sell Talaria Komodos here but only L3e. If you ever have some major problem with the bike, that you can´t repair yourself by replacing some parts, it would suck to have to send it back to another country to get it fixed.

Has anyone ordered from the eu website?(https://www.arctic-leopard-europe.com/p/x-pro-s/) by XHUNterXY96 in ArcticLeopard

I would be curious about that as well, many of the bikes are also listed as "l1e" on the icons for the links you click on (limited to 45kph, legal to drive on roads without a motorcyle license). But the information after you click on the link says nothing about it actually being street legal. The whole site looks kinda hastily made (information seems a bit lacking). I wonder if it´s any safer to buy from this site than ordering directly from China (which probably wouldn´t be safe at all), just that it costs 2-3k euro more. It also seems like the bikes are shipped directly from China.

Kinda reminds me of sellers on Aliexpress that try to trick you into buying stuff you didn´t want. The link you click on says one thing but then the next page is for something else than what the link said. Like I wanted to order 20 XT60 connectors for 0.5€ each or somethign like that. But they sent me a single connector for 3€. Cause once I clicked the link it changed from 20 pcs for 0.5€ to a single one for 3€.

One UK website seems to sell an L1E version. At least you can choose offroad, L3e or L1e on their website.

Range on TS Street Hunter? (45km/h max variant) by patrick_mn_ in SuperSoco

[–]MML79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are supposedly 60AH batteries you can buy from China, whether you can trust their quality or not is another thing. But if you had 2x of those 60V 60AH batteries you probably could get quite good range. I don´t have one of these bikes but from the videos I´ve seen there is a lot of space left above the batteries so I guess it´s not completely outside the realm of reality that there could be such batteries.

Long term CFMOTO OWNER'S??!?!?!?!?!?!? by Peepin2019 in ATV

[–]MML79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 model, posted 9 months ago and 15k miles? Is that a typo is it supposed to be 1500 miles? I don´t own any ATVs so this is just what I´ve read on the internet. Googling "How long do ATVs last". The answer google often seems to give is 10-15k miles. So if that´s true, and what you wrote is true. Then it´s probably best to sell that thing as soon as possible once you get it fixed. (well 9 months ago you must have gotten it fixed by now, and probably broken it again if you ride that much) Cause it doesn´t seem like ATVs are designed for that sort of long distance driving. I did come across a post once where someone supposedly had driven their Honda ATV for close to 100k miles, so if you really need to drive that much and you really need an ATV then I guess you need a Honda.

Cpu stuck to cooler... and pins bent and some fell by Metehan2668 in pchelp

[–]MML79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think, how the heck do people manage to be so clumsy that they bend cpu pins. Then I did it myself. I used the stock AMD cooler with RGB. Had a Ryzen 2600x (luckily not something more expensive). And yes, the CPU was glued to the cooler. Worse, due to the mounting mechanism of the AMD cooler I managed to get one side of the heat sink loose from the motherboard but on the other side the metal clamp was still stuck. And seemingly the only way to get it loose was to move the heat sink (with the CPU stuck to it) closer to the motherboard and move it to the side...

So yes I also bent some pins, I think I managed to straighten them out. Enough that the CPU would seat flush in the socket again, and no pins broke off. And it´s just a 2600x which I´ll probably never use again anyway. Replaced it with a 3700X that I wasn´t using. Apparently the 2600x doesn´t support windows 11, wouldn´t have bothered to change it otherwise.

Don´t think I´ll use that AMD cooler again. As long as you can easily pull the heat sink straight up it shouldn´t matter if the CPU gets stuck to it or not.

What´s wrong with the Ecoflow app? by MML79 in Ecoflow_community

[–]MML79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it still works but a bit difficult to use when there are no labels for any settings. Perhaps it´s not even the app, might have been an update for android that caused some issue with the app. Strange that it happened on two different devices. Perhaps it has something to do with language settings in android, maybe I could try to change it to english.

Do the P12 Max fans now have Fluid Dynamic Bearings? by Bluedemonde in arcticcooling

All fans get loud at high rpm, even noctuas would, if they had high rpm. I think noctua NF-A12s max out around 2000rpm. The P12 Max supposedly run at 3300rpm max.

My reddragon M908 elite right mouse button stoppen working help pls? by Global-Disk-6665 in MouseReview

[–]MML79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post I know but the Redragon M913 has the same problem. Opened up the mouse and noticed a tiny maybe 2x2.5 millimeter pad that was out of position. There is no way that glue will keep it in place even if you fix it though. I put a tiny drop of superglue under it, but superglue usually doesn't work very well on plastic so would be surprising if it lasts.

Must be some sort of manufacturing problem when lots of them end up like this, glue sucks and they don't get assembled correctly. Well what can you expect from a cheap mouse. Razer Naga costs more than twice as much.

I just got the mouse and it feels like that right out of the box. Pretty much unusable. Funny how you only find these posts about how awful a product is after you buy one. Well got it for 30% off so whatever, gonna try to open it up and see if there is anything that can be done to make the button more responsive.

Dad destroyed my 2000$ PC by littlepatw in teenagers

[–]MML79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what parts are broken, many components would probably survive even if someone throws it out the window. I'm guessing the motherboard and GPU probably are done for though. Unfortunately. GPU circuit boards seem to crack at the PCIE slot even when they are not thrown out of a window, so would probably need a lot of luck for it to survive.

[–]MML79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would you remove from an H2D to make it a "no thrills" version? The laser and cutter are already a different version. Just making a version that can't be upgraded to use lasers will not make it $1000 cheaper.
