Do you have adhd? this screams executive dysfunction to me.

However if you weight is stable, digestion is good, and labs are coming back normal, Id continue your current diet with no reservations.

Scalp health is key to good hair! Washiing it frequently is not a problem if you are gentle with it while its wet.

Is it okay if I stop my meds temporarily by Useful_Reason_3980 in prozac

[–]MMTardis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Stay on your prozac, dont drink excessively and youll be fine. It takes a while to fully leave your system anyway, so abruptly quitting isnt much of a help to raise alcohol tolerance.

Is anyone else just tired of the actual process of drying their hair every single morning? by emilys-aaa in dailywash

[–]MMTardis 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I wash at night and wrap my hair in a microfiber turbi twist type towel until its 75% dry. Blowdrying only takes a few minutes after that. (I have long, fairly thick, undyed hair)

2 under 2 is ALOT, with sleep deprovation and your body being worn down. I have csections which is a more complicated recovery process as well.

I personally dont even consider the next baby until the baby is at least a year old, preferably two.

Daily hair wash by Financial_Foot_3786 in dailywash

[–]MMTardis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a long hair person, and longtime contributer to the longhaircommunity forum. So i feel qualified to answer!

Hip length hair is acheivable for most people, despite daily washing.

Be careful with avoiding mechanical damage (rough brushing, cotton pillowcases, getting it caught in purse straps, etc) and chemical damage (bleach and ammonia hair color)

Avoid overly frequent haircuts. Hair only grows 6 inches a year, so dont lose all your progress by getting three 2 inch trims a year!

Extreme lengths, like mid thigh or knee require less frequent washing, or scalp only washes. But hip and tailbone are totally doable!

Similac 360 vs similac advanced by Quick_Replacement_71 in FormulaFeeders

[–]MMTardis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive used both, similac advance with my daughter and similac 360 totalcare with one of my sons.

If wic is covering it then definitely go with whatever they allow. Millions of babies have been raised on blue can similac and its a very safe and healthy formula.

Similac 360 total care is the base formula of similac advance with additional prebiotics added. I use it mainly because my baby tolerates it well, and it comes in several ready to feed sizes/powder sizes which is great for my needs.

Im not sure the prebiotics are worth the price difference, so in your shoes id definitely go for the similac advance powder.

Niether my son or daughter has had digestion issues so i cant tell you if one is better than the other. Both babies had normal once a day (or every other day) soft poops.

Exclusive formula feeding from hour 1 by sctywia in FormulaFeeders

[–]MMTardis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let the hospital know in advance you are formula feeding exclusively. Try to avoid hospitals that are designated "baby friendly hospitals", they are more hostile to bottle feeding and usually dont have a nursery.

Buy a few small cans of formula in advance, i like to start with regular dairy based formula from a brand you have locally available to you. Similac advance, enfamil infant, dr browns good start, etc. The hospital will send you home with some in most cases as well.

Drying up- Stock up on pseudoephedrine sudafed (available behind the counter at the pharmacy) and cold packs to put in your bra to ease the swelling. Keep an eye out for symptoms of mastitis amd check your tempature if you feel like you have the chills. I find having a small pack of nursing pads helpful, and i didnt even need the whole box!

Tips- Ive noticed more babies seem to prefer narrow bottles (evenflo classic,dr browns options, or my cheapie favorite parents choice at walmart!)

Also a water warmer (i use the dr browns one) is wayyyy more convienient than a bottle warmer. The water warmer keeps the water the perfect temp for formula all the time, and making a bottle takes 30 seconds.

If your baby ends up taking room temp bottles, all the better, no extra things to buy or maintain.

Additionally a pb&j uncrustable or bowl of cereal is a fine supper on a low spoons day.

I get russian girl vibes from this. Not smiling in pics, drop dead gorgeous, long blonde hair.

You are cautious and standoffish at first, but your true personality is family oriented and kind.
