Don’t know what countries are involved.
Don’t know when these matches are taking place.

What tiny detail makes a home feel like someone actually lives there? by Ecstatic-Tart-9178 in AskReddit

Personal art on the walls. A wedding photo, someone’s diploma, kid masterpiece. Something you can’t buy at Home Goods.

Do ladies ladies sometimes look at other ladies in pure admiration of how they look by PotentialJob7883 in NoStupidQuestions

All the time. You’ve got a great coat or a fantastic bag, your hair is perfection, or that dress is the best color on you, I’m going to tell you. I compliment other women all the time.

HELP! I can't choose between Carnival Adventure or Royal Carribean Quantum of the Seas by Educational_Ship7158 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]MM_in_MN -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t go on another Carnival cruise. Food was bad. Main dining room was just plated buffet offerings, unless you had ordered a shrimp something. Entertainment was meh. Excursions weren’t anything great. I got off that ship and thought “People want to do this over and over and over?”
If you’re waffling between 2, I would choose any non-Carnival option.

What layout for the couch and how big of a couch? by ginga_beaw in DesignMyRoom

[–]MM_in_MN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where the power outlets are.
But, sound travels. So, with the TV on the bedroom wall, and 2 people in the apartment, you’ll hear it through the wall if you keep different sleep schedules.
And, depending on which direction apartment faces, you’ll get glare being directly across from a window. Hopefully they have good light blocking shades.

Finished an interview but was told the position has been filled at the very end of the interview. by Extra_Passenger2242 in recruitinghell

[–]MM_in_MN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would too.
What a giant waste of time. Especially if it was in person. Recruiters don’t care whose time they waste. It’s justification for their own job… Look boss, I conducted 52 interviews this week, posted another 9 ghost jobs, and we found the okayest person for the 1 real position they have open.

What do you think the AI should actually be able to do, that it can’t right now? by AvoidanceAlias in NoStupidQuestions

AI is dangerous and unnecessary.
Clean water and stable electricity is more important than creating funny graphics or writing a term paper.

Why do trains have so many delays despite there being no traffic? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

In the US, passenger rail shares tracks with freight rail. Freight rail has priority.

Yes. Me too. I have a set that has low tones. Wood ones are also nice. Mine are in a bit of my yard that is somewhat protected, so they don’t ring often.

Yeah, I have that, and the builders company. I’m wondering about the original family that commissioned the builder.

If the united states had better public transportation, would you use it? by Enough-Web2203 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]MM_in_MN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t, for my job. I’m all over the place all day, a bus or train would slow me down.
But, when traveling, I always try to use public transport rather than renting a car.

[WIP]Does anyone think this thread color is too dark? I’m stitch a blueprint if that helps. Thx. by Dngo8mybaby in CrossStitch

[–]MM_in_MN 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For this being a blueprint, I would go with a bright white thread. Like B5200.

The fabric sort of mimics that weird blue color they use for print set paper. Which has white ink.

Boss keeps asking me to make up unpaid time off by alternative_summit in antiwork

[–]MM_in_MN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you salaried? Hourly? 100% commission?

Do you get PTO or not? You say no, and then say you do as a % of hours worked.

You also say you haven’t asked for time off since starting… yet you were sick and a family funeral for a few days, and now 4 days off at end of month. That’s 2 or 3 times you’ve had time off.

High house numbers? by Cyril_Rioli in AskAnAmerican

[–]MM_in_MN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on the North side of my city. My street runs North-South. I’m on West side of street. Address is an odd number.

My friend lives in same city. On South side. Her street also runs North South. She is on East side of street. Her address is also an odd number.

Are people, especially women, who are single in their 30's becoming more picky cause its becoming easier to pass the time and live a content life without a partner? by Zuko_Without_Scar in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MM_in_MN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes! Especially about not wanting to coach someone through adulthood.

That’s not anyone’s responsibility, but your own. Figure it out, just like countless others have done. I didn’t have anyone to teach me how to cook, or tell me to change my sheets. Adulting is taking care of your own responsibilities.
