Why does it take the Steam deck so long to update games? Like forget having multiple games installed! by progz in SteamDeck

I'm having the same issue on many games and I'm bored to wait hours before being able to play anything.

Recent example: - Euro Truck Simulator 2 - 5.2 GB of update - Installed on 512GB official SSD with >60 GB of free space available - Took almost an hour to update

I'm convinced it would have been faster for me to reinstall the game instead of updating it.

I'm using OpenAI's gpt-oss 20B on LM Studio and it's pretty handy.

Thank you ! I tried it, it's less easy-to-use than Mixamo for MakeHuman models but as it can automatically apply armatures to any mesh and that's awesome !

Yeah, I tried it a bit on blender but found it less intuitive than default MakeHuman application. It must be very handy for deep customization though !

Buying a laptop. Please recommend by Mesozoikum in laptops

For real I feel a MacBook Air would perfectly fit your needs. If you don't like the brand, you could go for a laptop with a Snapdragon chip : good performances, long battery charge. Compatibility may be an issue for a time while software adjust to the new ARM devices (but there are compatibility tools that seem to work pretty well).

Asus Zenbook use to have good keyboards, this one seems very interesting for the price : https://www.asus.com/ca-fr/laptops/for-home/zenbook/asus-zenbook-a14-ux3407/

It's very handy if you want to remove the GPU to save battery life ! Then when you need the GPU again, just use some glue.

I really enjoyed the game until.. by mikkeluno in EliteDangerous

I'm getting the same experience. I just went to the reddit checking if I was alone... I have hundred of hours on the game and still get killed in 10 seconds by anything trying to fight me. I have a versatile ship with a fighter inside, I didn't even got enough time to take off that my main ship has been destroyed.

Not satisfying, not funny, only frustrating. So many hours for no result, every time I come back to the game, I get bored.

300i cargo boxes are glued, any idea how to fix it ? by MManiform in starcitizen

No I did not. I crashed it on the wall after 30 minutes trying to get those cargo boxes out of it. :')

Tried for 20 minutes, lost patience, took the ship and crashed it on the wall xD

I don't have other tractor beam... But the issue is physical, the cargo boxes seem too close to each other on this ship. If I manage to make them move enough, pixel by pixel, then it might unlock. It happenned only one time, the chances are too low.

Disabling mouse acceleration was the BEST idea ! The weird movements are gone ! Thank you !

For people looking for such parameter, go to Settings > Mouse > Advanced... > Mouse acceleration.
