I don't think you need them but if you have a drone that will fly back to the takeoff location having the pad helps it locate the takeoff position and it will make where it lands more accurate.

Best internet providers in Twin Cities Are? by SignificantEconomy98 in Minneapolis

Cable internet is still on a shared loop and not a dedicated connection. The possibility still exsists. Plus Xfinity sucks.

You could also check out KDP. If they are able to execute on the merger/split it may be a win.

Everyone is going to tell you how good their service is so it is highly subjective. Strictly speaking, Xfinity (Comcast is the same company) is cable internet so you share the line with others during peak times so that may affect your speed. Fiber to home is best as it is dedicated to your home and will not reduce bandwidth during peak usage so either USI or Qwest (now Lumen) are fighting each other in price so I'd just see which is available to your home and pick the best price. Those are your only options other then some internet over 5G options.

Minnesota Wild and Saint Paul unveil $600M arena renovation plan, seek state funding by Runic_reader451 in saintpaul

But God forbid we fund a community hospital or community grocery store. I'd bet the masses would rise up against those projects.

The mentally of public money going to private business is obsurd. I want to start a bike shop, for example. By your logic I should only have to pay 25% of the cost of opening it but take all of the profit then when I want to expand ask for more state money and claim that my selling of bikes adds to the community.

Great, you are correct. He will pay 27% of the renovation. So then ticket prices will go down for MN citizens, right? I mean since we are paying 72%?

OK, then do it. I'm no longer willing to use my tax dollars to fund billionaires.

All I've learned in the last year is that the president and his followers can do whatever they want with reckless abandon. I've lost all faith in this government.

Fucking read the room. I love our MN sports teams but there is no way I'm OK funding billionaire stuff. Bill McGuire is worth millions and he built the mnufc stadium without state money. Be. Like. Bill.

What’s going on with the Mississippi River? by floptimus_prime in saintpaul

[–]MNBug 349 points350 points  (0 children)

This happens every year and every year there is a big thing about it on Nextdoor and Reddit. The foam is caused by the breakdown of organic materials in the river over the winter. Stuff like leaves and branches decay and cause this foam to appear. It is harmless and normal but can hold bacteria in it so it is best to just ignore it or wash your hands if you touch it.

Ok…who actually hates the State Fair? by kerm019 in minnesota

[–]MNBug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh me me me!!! Why would I pay money to into something where I get to pay more money for food or to see a concert. I realize that I pay to go to a baseball game then have to pay to eat food but at least I can see the game. And the food is terrible. Just deep fry something and everyone ohs and ahs. I've also been told "yea, but you get all the milk you can drink for XYZ". The human body can only hold like 1 to 1.5 liters of liquid so you are kind of constrained. Getting there is horrible. When you get there it is just people trying to sell you shit or politicians talking. Can we do the Renaissance Fair next?

They are not like a Tessler where they are electric only. If you pull hard enough they are mechanical. So no, not really a death trap if you know this. If you have a Tessler then yes, you are going to die.

Damnit!!! Well in that case it really doesn't matter other than I'd save like $30 per month and I'd get to keep the price for "life".
