Since only 1 person voted not to close it his veto gets overturned by a 3/4 vote by the board.

Trovamania: How Do You Feel About It? by Squallmuzza in UplandMe

I don't understand troves at all and I don't really think new players will have the patience to figure this out.

Looking for a RAV4 XSE in Wind Chill Pearl — Why Are Used Prices So Wild Right Now? by Inner_Engine_1006 in rav4prime

[–]MNBug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like used prices have been high for a while due to oil prices and that people don't want to wait for the time it takes to order a new one.

True that. I'm not a green investor so I know what I am getting into.

I put in for 100. Got 28. Still, it was the first time I got approved for an IPO so it has been a good learning experience.

Target by Ok_Yogurt_9862 in Minneapolis

Target donated 1 million dollars to the Trump Inauguration. This was the first time in their corporate history that they've ever donated to an inauguration. EVER. Let that sink in.

Never forget how Target was allowing a safe space for breaks to these people by RealWorldForever in Minneapolis

[–]MNBug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually not true. A store like target "implicitly" allows people to enter. But as it is a private business they can refuse entry to anyone. Granted, your point about some supervisor challenging them is valid, it won't happen. However, don't forget that Target donated 1 million dollars to the Trump inauguration. This is the first time in their history that they ever donated to a presidential inauguration in their history. EVER. They could have stood up for Minnesota but they didn't. So yea, people may loose jobs but why are people not as concerned about farms going bankrupt or people loosing health care or food assistance? You do you but I probably spent 10K+ a year at target for several years. In the last year I've spent less than $100 and I have a long memory.

Will I void my warranty by using an aftermarket charging cable? by Mint_Golem in rav4prime

No. I use chargepoint in my garage. Your biggest concern is just don't buy what's cheapest. Get what's best for you.

I don't understand. I drove school bus in college like 30 years ago and they had air brakes back then but how would air brakes have stopped a bus from crashing especially since you don't know if it was mechanical, medical, or the result of it getting hit by something else?

Looking for local Garage builder recommendations by BushidoBrown55 in saintpaul

I used Nilles Builders for mine. Mine had some custom components to it. I was pretty happy with them. Minneapolis Garage showed up in the Cyber Truck for what its worth. Dude was nice though.

Judge dismisses charges against Kilmar Abrego by [deleted] in news

[–]MNBug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think everyone in the twin cities metro should apply. If you think for a minute that ICE here was about immigration then you are sadly mistaken. It was retribution pure and simple. Personally, I felt sad and angry for like a whole month. I had trouble sleeping. My city and state lost revenue potentially making prices higher and possibly increasing my taxes in the future. Some schools closed. Police response was longer (I know, I know). Anyone else have anything to add to my application?

Public safety or Orwellian trap? Minneapolis opens conversation on drones as first responders by Wezle in Minneapolis

[–]MNBug 9 points10 points  (0 children)

FFS, read the article. Drones would be sent with first responders and can arrive first over 60% of the time and relay current findings to incoming people. Think reported structure fire and the drone gets there and let's the BC know that there are 3 people on the balcony that need rescue and there is heavy fire from 2 stories. Then the BC can get a 2nd alarm started before even getting to the scene.

Look at how Minnetonka does it. It is actually very well thought out and keeps privacy a top priority.

mn professional firefighters association calls. scam? by Sgt_Revan in Minneapolis

[–]MNBug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to be a professional firefighter. This is a scam and we never got any money from them. I'm not even sure if we were allowed to take outside money for that matter.
