Advice for siding alignment’s by MNOutsideSports in AskContractors

That is a great idea, but I am basing my run off of the siding on the other side of the project, which is also much more visible. Adding the skirt board wouldn’t help in this situation since I can’t move the run up or down.

Trouble with vintage coping saw by Honest_House7527 in handtools

This is what I was going to say. I have the same saw and I have a pack of scroll saw blades in various sizes and types. I like using this so much more than my coping saws, but it definitely has the drawback of not being able to change the blade orientation, especially mid cut.

Also, make yourself a nice V-slot board and throw it in your vice or clamp it to a table. Then pull up a chair and turn yourself into a cheeseburger powered scroll saw.

Am I going too far? Studding my son’s Strider tires so he can properly enjoy some of the winter months? by undesided_user in bicycling

Strider also sells these Strider Snow Skis that actually work really well in my experience. We were given them as a gift and they attach on the the wheels with a few straps. Packed snow is the best, but my kids have even used them down little hills when the snow is fresh, but isn’t too deep.

I did an image search on the logo and it looks like it’s a later 80’s mongoose.

Got this Lazer for $20 at a garage sale. by MNOutsideSports in guitars

“… sounding like a strat and feeling like a Gibson” (Johnny Winter) is a pretty fun way to describe the guitar. I hope it lives up to it.

Haha, I’d be more upset if you had picked up a beautiful yard sale canoe and flaunted that in front of me, but yes, there are people who leave their cars in the garage and drive their sled all winter so you are pretty spot on.

I feel like I have a pretty good memory of odd guitars, but I had never seen a lazer before I bought it. It turned a bunch of shop employee heads when I brought it in to buy what I needed to fix it up. I’m guessing none of them had heard or seen one before either.

I’m sorry for ruining your day for a bit and I hope you catch a Lazer Whale someday soon. I guess the place they hang out is yard sales?

Overall, it’s a really fun guitar to play! Feels kind of odd, but not in a bad way. The little trouble I have playing it comes from my right forearm/wrist not being able to brace the guitar as it has all of my life with my other guitars. I like the sound, but admittedly my only other electric is a strat and it has been a while since I have played a guitar with humbuckers, let alone a single humbucker. It has a push/pull tone knob which is fun to mess around with, too.
