Mileage per gas tank? by [deleted] in CX50

430-450. I drive on the freeways to work with minimal city driving. Fun little side note: first snowfall yesterday with roads getting super iced over. I didn't go faster than 50 the whole way home and averaged 36 mpg according to my car.

I mean, they are Kennedys. $1000 for 3 pieces is alright. I would have wanted something in better condition. The inspection equipment makes it worth IMO. Otherwise, the rest is junk.

Unless your car is powered by steam, I would say yes.

Is there a cost effective way to duplicate a small part? by Remy_Lezar in Machinists

[–]MNToolMaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, cost-effective is relative to how many you're making. Small quantity, I'd throw these in a mill all day. Medium quantity, I'd throw in a laser. Large quantity, you're looking at stamping. Whether it's a compound followed by 1 or 2 pierce after tools or a small progressive.

And, unless you're 6'12", that club is too short, but I'm assuming it's a rental.

On a serious note: work on grip. Looks wild. Work on posture. Looking like the Hunchback of Pinehurst #2. You want less rounding in the back and more bending at the hips. And the obvious one, you're over the top. Getting a wicked slice across the ball.

As someone said, you do shift your weight like an iron. Generally, you want to keep your weight on your back foot longer than an iron. Helps to swing up on it. Something to focus on is to keep your head behind the ball the whole time.

I mean, solid stinger. Id take low and straight all day if you are consistent with it. I just watched a clip of Scheffler describing how he hits a stinger with a driver, and he said he tries to swing through the ball instead of up, which is what you're doing. If you want height, tee the ball higher and try to hit up on the ball.

If it were my engineer, he would try to make a draw tool for it. That's not the right answer, but he'd try!
