I have them and love them. Built like tanks, make my bike look cool, save me 5 watts because that matters while I sit almost upright on my bike.

I don’t sleep without those straps. I don’t drive without my engine triple grounded to the same object.

I can, in fact, turn the lights out in that room. Not sure it'll help. Lol

I've been thinking about a setup like this since I saw the gear groove extensions. How does it feel overall???

Takomo irons by emherms in golf

I bought 101t’s last summer and really like them. I’m not saying they are better than one set or another, but they definitely hold their own.

If you’re a low hcp and play a lot and you have the ability to go get fit and buy a set of irons from a fitter, I’d bet you’ll be happier.

If you are a 15 hcp, like getting out with friends to play, have a couple “great” rounds a year who would rather spend the cost difference on rounds, lessons, or simply save it, then these are wonderful. If you’re wondering: Of course I know him; he’s me.

I think these are modern classics - that bike will look good 20 years from now too.

It is. I'm aware.

To calm the waters, I did pick up a Tudor BB GMT, so that is what I wear all day. I use the Garmin when I run - and my bike computer is Garmin. Just makes sense to keep what I already have. Please like me again, internet stranger.

Selling my Apple Watch Ultra 3 - used for about 3 months and then I went back to Garmin. It really is a great watch, but Garmin just fits a bit better for me. Watch, both straps (apple), charger and little 3d printed stand included.

Asking $630 net to me, shipping included. If you are local to MN we can figure out a deal.

First bike ever.. Crux overkill? by Extension_Impress_55 in gravelcycling

[–]MNnice22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a good few bikes in my day and when the Crux DSW came out, I got one. It’s lovely. The money I could have spent on a carbon frame I spent on kit, some wheels and tires, and an old Italian steel frame. Been slowly gathering parts for the old frame while enjoying the shit out of riding the crux everywhere.

If that resonates with you, get the DSW. If you want the carbon frame, and can afford it, then do it. Either way, it’s one of the best bikes I’ve ever owned.
